Future Kittens - Faces

I was so excited when I received the first pictures of the kittens' faces.   The first picture is of Chloe's kittens.  Look how close they were on Day 5 (I think I have the day right).  This may be a brother and sister that won't be separated.

Here is the first picture I received of Zoey's kittens faces.  This picture was taken when they were 6 days old.

Aren't they just too adorable?!?!

Several of you have asked about their darker fur compared to their mothers.  Silver Shaded and Silver Chinchilla Persians are born dark and turn lighter as they get older.  According to Terri (the breeder) their eyes will be a "murky, sorta ugly color, until about 5-6 months when they start turning a more vivid green. You will see the green begin in a ring around the pupil and as they get older, the greener rim will widen until it completely fills the iris.  I've seen some of my kittens have completely green eyes as quick as 9 or 10 months old, but the 'books' say that Silver Persians can take up to 3 years to show their true eye color. "

  5. I don't think the brother and sister should be separated...look how adorable they are together!! I'm sure you're going to have an extremely tough decision to make when you get around to deciding which ones will be coming to live with you in September. They are all so incredibly beautiful :)

  6. The 15-week-old kittens my human met at the Fancy Feast shoot were stunning, even if they did not yet have their full eye colors!

  7. Five? Five sounds like a good number to me, MOL!

Or two ;-) Two is good. I don't think you could possibly go wrong with ANY of those adorable babies!

  8. We agree, too--why not all five of them? Nothing like a clowder of kitties!

  11. Interesting how they change colors opposite of Meezers who are born closer to white if not all white and show their points as they grow. We adopted a brother sister pair and they are awesome growing together ... would totally do it again!

  12. All five kittens precious. We are kind of hoping the brother and sister pair choose you!!! But we also know that the kittens who do choose you will know nothing but love!!!!

  13. OMC! Adorable isn't a big enough word to describe these heavenly babies. It must be very difficult to wait. I remember waiting for Dante to be old enough to come home and it seemed like furever.

I'm so happy that you are looking forward. Sweet Praline has a PURRmanent place in your heart, but I know there is room for more love in the future.

This breed of cat is absolutely gorgeous! With the green eyes, they will be amazing. However, you want to enjoy every minute of their kittenhood, I'm sure.

Dante's eyes first turned from their baby dark blues to an amber colour. I have pictures of him at one year that clearly show it. Then they gradually turned to green. Go figure!

I, too, think getting a brother and sister would be the ultimate. We're counting down the days along with you! Congrats!
