The kittens became so much more active after 3 weeks of age. Here are two of my favorite videos of Truffle and Beignet.
The first one is of Truffle learning how to climb. Watch her little determined face trying to get up on the bed with Terri.
The second video is of Beignet. First, he gently touches his mom Chloe while she is eating as if to say, "may I please have some?" Then, being little unsteady on his feet, he does the little "sideways crab skitter" when something gets his attention.
Here is the 3-week old update I received from Terri. " And in other big news for today, Chloe's kittens have discovered the litter box and how much fun it is to climb in and tumble out, tumble in, tumble out, and on and on. Who knew climbing could be such fun? Alas, the messy days have started too. I found my first little baby poopy pile in their nest today and a little poopy smear on Kitten #1 (girl)'s backside. This is typical when they start eating solid food, the poop changes and momma bear no longer decides she wants to do her duty and eat it (YUCK!). So, I wiped her little bum and cleaned up the baby poopy pile with high hopes that after all these fun tumbles into the litter box that perhaps tomorrow she will decide to try pooping in there :) Probably not, but I can hope!"
Pee ess - I'll be on the West Coast for the next week, so I must pre-post all of the blogs for the week. If I get updated photos or information from Terri, I'll let you know!

I am just so wishing I had such adorable babies.
ReplyDeleteSuch little bundles of pure beauty. I, in a way, envy you the thrill of raising them, then again, I'm not too sure I could go through those heartaches, headaches, and long hours of worry. Still, we all know it is worth while. Definitely.
ReplyDeleteSafe trip Paula! Be happy!
