Brulee is Home!
My little sister, Brulee, is back home from getting her lady gardenectomy. The vet tech sent Mom Paula a text message with a photo attached (see yesterday's update) and Mom Paula couldn't believe how bright-eyed Brulee was. Mom Paula picked Brulee up around 4:45 pm yesterday afternoon and the vet tech, Lisa, said that Brulee was doing great. Mom Paula mentioned that she seemed so bright eyed and the Lisa said that Brulee was very sociable. She said that all of the other cats were at the back of their cages and Brulee was right at the front watching everything that went on.
I (Truffle) was so excited to see my little sister. I greeted her with a lick on her head and never hissed once. Several times yesterday, Mom Paula would look over and I was giving Brulee a comforting kiss on her head. Brulee has been very alert and doesn't appear to be hurting. She is still required to have a pain pill twice a day for a few days and Mom Paula has to check her belly regularly and try to make sure she isn't too active (like that's going to happen). We're hoping she doesn't have to get a "cone" around her neck.
The two pictures below are of Brulee yesterday afternoon (taken on Mom Paula's cell phone) as soon as she came out of her PTU from the vet. We think she looks great!
Of course, I had to strut a little of my stuff to remind Mom Paula that I was also here!

We are glad that everyone is doing so well! YEAH!
ReplyDeleteBrulee, NO CONE? That is fabulous. Just leave those stitchies alone...
ReplyDeleteI knew you would come through it just fine, Brulee! I think not picking at the stitches is the hardest part, but it's worth it to avoid wearing the cone of shame.
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Brulee is home and looking good!! We bet Truffle was excited to see her, too!!

Glad you are back home Brulee, and you're looking good.
ReplyDeleteGlad your home and feeling okay!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that Brulee's little oPURRation went well, and that she is barely feeling the effects (if at all)!
ReplyDeleteSome kitties tolerate it better than others, and Brulee seems to be made of strong stuff (especially the smell that came home with her from the vet).
It was so sweet that Truffle was concerned about her.
I'm sure everything will be back to normal in no time flat!
Both your girls are very bright-eyed and happy! We hope Brulee heals quickly, just like Truffle did. xxoo Uncle Bhu
