Truffle will be one year old on June 2, 2012. Mom Paula is sponsoring a Debutante Ball for her. All ladycats and mancats are invited to attend this special event. This is a "black tie" affair and we want everyone to dress in their finest attire (either Photoshopped or actual) and email (sweetpurrfections@sc.rr.com) your picture to Mom Paula by May 29. Please put "Truffle RSVP" in the subject line. Also, include your name and blog address in the email. We will post all of your pictures on our blog that day and hope that you'll also post it on your blogs as well.
Some of you may be asking, "what in the world is a debutante?" Here's a little background for you. A debutante comes from the French word, débutante, which means female beginner. A debutante is a young lady from an aristocratic or upper class family who has reached the age of maturity, and as an adult, is introduced to society at a formal "debut" presentation. Debutante balls exist in nearly every major city in the United States but are more common and a larger affair in the South. A debutante ball is a formal affair complete with good food and ballroom dancing. We think a debutante ball is purrfect for Truffle since she was born outside of Charleston, SC (old South) and she comes from royal bloodlines (at least she think she does). At one year of age, she is moving from kittenhood to becoming a beautiful ladycat. You'll notice her full name on the invitation. It's not official yet, but this is the name that is being submitted to the CFA. We're really looking forward to the ball and hope everyone can come!
Oh dear. I think this means I have to go shopping...

ReplyDeleteWe love Truffle's CFA name! We would love to be able to attend but don't think Mom can photoshop clothes onto us. So what to do? Any suggestions from you would be appreciated, especially because Mom cannot take any ne pictures of us and only has a relatively small number on her laptop. She will still be helping with the baby at the time of th ball.
