You saw what on our front porch?!?
This is what "greeted" Mom Paula on our front porch! It was stretched all the way out facing the front door when she got to the top step. Mom Paula noticed something dark on the porch and when she glanced over, it moved! It turned around and went down between the boards on the porch. We live in a suburban neighborhood and don't see things like this. We don't know what kind it is and we don't want to get close enough to find out!
Yikes!!!!
Pee ess - Brulee is 10 months old today.
Whoa! My human actually likes snakes, but she has heard that you guys get some nasty, poisonous ones in your part of the country (out here we have rattlers, and they are clearly identifiable). I don't blame your human for being creeped out!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Happy 10 months, Brulee!
Ewww! Truffle, did that make your fur stand on end, just a little bit? Be careful Mom Paula!
ReplyDeleteI stopped looking at the photo of you ladies, thank goodness! hee hee!
ReplyDeleteOooooooooooooooooooo!! That is a long snake!! We do not see any snakes around here. Guess they are good at hiding ;) Good thing that one is outside !!

Ewwww, snakes are creepy. In more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteWowwee! We bet it woulda been fun to play with. Our mom says no it wouldn't.
ReplyDeleteYikes is right. Our Mom does not like snakes. But sometimes birds will chase snakes. Maybe your little birds will chase it away. Love that pictures of the girls. Happy 10th month Brulee.
ReplyDeleteHoly carp! Thank cod Mom Paula saw it before she opened the door! The only snake we have ever seen is our toy furry snake we play with. You guys be careful!
ReplyDeleteThat surely is an unwelcome guest ! We are having a terrible problem with skunks in our neighborhood !
ReplyDeleteYou girls are just the cutest little things !
Eva & Gracie's Mom
we're sure we'd never have seen our mum ever again!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Our mom likes snakes, too, but not that one. We hope it isn't a "bad" snake (a poisonous one!). Mom would help try to identify it if the picture was a bit clearer. It looks like it has a lovely skin pattern. She is use to seeing garter snakes and those big black rat snakes that are harmless!
ReplyDeleteHappy 10 month b-day, Brulee!!!
oh geez - now mom is all freaked out!! blech..... we suspect she might have made a girlie eep if this had been our front porch....
ReplyDeleteYikes is right!
ReplyDeleteLook how Truffle has her ears back. Very astute little girl.
Happy 8 months, Brulee.

ReplyDeleteSnakes are never welcome or invited guests. Glad he turned around!

Happy 10 months, Brulee!! xxoo Uncle Bhu
ReplyDeleteWe have never seen a real snakey ourselfs. An we DONT want to!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a surprise!
ReplyDeleteOur mom likes snakes cause they eat mousies, which she really doesn't like! It was probably harmless, but its best to be safe.
ReplyDeleteThe easy way in the US to identify poison snakes is the head being larger than the body - like in rattlers, copperheads, water moccasins.
ReplyDeleteThe one exception is a coral snake, which has bright bands.
It looks like a garter snake, more or less.
We had snakes in our old partment. Several of them shorted out the wiring in our oven! Someone in our building owned snakes and they got out. The little ones (!) got caught in our oven (I totally ignored them. Sort of.) and ruined some stuff that was being made for a bake sale. (Thank goodness for kind neighbors who let mom use their oven). The maintenance guy had to remove the poor fried (or should I say baked) yucky things from our oven.
ReplyDeleteThe Python was sunning on our front lawn and had it's picture in the paper!
I join in your snakey repulsion! That is a pretty tiny one, though it is quite long.
ReplyDeleteDante actually brought a snake inside the house last year, and dumped it on our family room carpet. When I woke up from a nap, I had a horrible surprise!
It was playing dead because Dante was hovering over it. I had to put it in a contained (without touching it, of course) and let it go outside. Ewwwwww!
I'll bet your girls would love one as a new playtoy, though, but I understand your reluctance.
