This is the trashcan in our bedroom. Notice the boxes on top of the trashcan to keep Truffle out.
Mom Paula keeps a bag of treats in the nightstand beside our bed. Each morning we get a treat or two when Mom Paula wakes up. She also uses the bag of treats to find us when we're not in the bedroom (we've trained her well). Yesterday morning, we ate the last of the treats in the bag, so Mom Paula threw the bag in the trashcan in our bedroom and had the boxes on top. You probably know where we are going with this . . .
When Mom Paula got home from work last night, here's what she found beside the trashcan.
Notice all the teeth marks in the bag! When Mom Paula looked at the trashcan, the boxes had been moved to the side. Mom Paula immediately began looking for Truffle. Truffle was under the bed looking at the bag. Looks like someone is in trouble again.
It wasn't me!
Don't forget to visit the Secret Paws 2012 blog and sign up to participate this year! Deadline is November 15.
Psst... .Truffle. Don't look guilty. No one can prove anything. Who knows? Maybe your Mum was sleep eating or something...
ReplyDeleteOne of my sisters who wented before loved waste baskets, and mom can relate. She finally had to literally block the entire kitchen trash can off and into a corner where it couldn't be tipped over. I, on the other paw, am a good kitty, and the trash can doesn't interest me. Either she has learned to triple bag stuff I would like or I am a saint. Or both???
ReplyDeleteHaHaMeow! Truffle is a girl who knows what she likes and isn't afraid to go after it. Way to go, Truffle. Have a great Tuesday. xoxo
ReplyDeleteNo one saw, they cant prove anything! You need an attorney at claw to protect your good name!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a house where the cats wouldn't have done the same thing! So that means your human must be at fault! I call it Cat Logic.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, this is PROOF that we are destined to be together! No box will keep me out of a bin with Greenies wrappers in it!
ReplyDelete*smooch*
Oh Truffle! You need help getting it open?
ReplyDeleteProvocation! That's what it is!!!!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Oh Truffle! You are so funny!!!! One time Sable found a small bag of powdered milk and he stole it and carried it through the house. Talk about a mess!!! At least you got some nom-licious chicken and turkey flavored plastic! MOL
ReplyDeleteOh, Truffle, we are so glad to see you are always one paw ahead of Mom Paula! hehehe!
ReplyDeleteAll this proves is that she is smart (and strong and determined)! xxoo Uncle Bhu
ReplyDeletemost of our trashcans are hidden - a certain girl who lives here likes to pull out tissues and shred them into little tiny pieces.....
ReplyDeleteTruffle...you da GIRL!
ReplyDeleteT is for trouble...NO, T is for Truffle and that is good enough for me!
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Just plead ignorance and your mum wont be able to resist your face.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeletePurely circumstantial!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe think you must have a great nose, Truffle, to smell the treats from that covered trash can!
ReplyDeleteI had a kitty with a trash can problem years ago. She would get in the kitchen trash if it held scraps of fried meat. She loved the smell but wasn't particularly interested in eating the meat.
Uh ooooohhhh!

Truffles, you and Two Two must be cousins. She would do the very same thing. Got to have that treat bag and make sure there aren't any left. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh how mean of your Mom to hide the treat bag and cover the can!!
ReplyDeleteEmpty or not, that smell can drive a kitty crazy!

We think this might be why all but one trash can in our house is metal and has a lid... making them no fun at all. Great job getting into that trash can!
ReplyDeleteWe know Truffle would never do that.... We're sure Not Me was there.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Goma: Oh trash can is one of the fun-est place to be!!! just make sure it is full when you get in. SACHIE: Goma you need to be quiet!
ReplyDeleteOh Truffle! Just show Mom Paula your cute face and she won't be mad about the treat bag. Haha!!
ReplyDeleteNom nom nom. :)
ReplyDeleteMOL
ReplyDeleteTruffle, were the crumbs left in the bag good?
Purrs
No kitty that sweet could be in trouble! And we are sure those are introoder teeth marks in the bag, not occupant tooth marks.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! Good work Truffle! Mom used to keep treat bags on the counter but they ended up in the same condition! Now they are shut in the cupboard. -Scout
ReplyDeleteMom Paula, you should know that a kitty as smart as Truffle would figure THAT one out!!! MOL!
ReplyDeleteoh my Truffle...run, run, fast...hide UTB...pretend to be scared of the 'other' cat who did that...just a thought
ReplyDeleteWe think some cat broke into your house and did that!
