Mom Paula pulled out the PTU Tuesday night so Truffle wouldn't be afraid of it. Truffle just walked right in and started playing. Brulee stared at her from the back with that knowing look.
Uhhhh, Big Sister - are you sure you want to get in there?
Yesterday morning (Wednesday), Mom Paula grabbed Truffle and put her in the PTU. (Mom Paula - Truffle didn't fight me at all!) Notice Brulee is nowhere to be found!
Just wait until I get out of here, Brulee!
The roadtrip in the car wasn't fun at all! Truffle talked to Mom Paula the whole way (Mom Paula took a short video of Truffle's cries and will show it tomorrow if everything goes okay).
Maybe if I use my laser vision, I can open this thing (notice the pet roller in the car!)
Yesterday morning must have been the day for the woofies. There were all sizes in there and boy, were they loud. We were taken to exam room #5 and I was weighed. I weigh a whopping 5.75 pounds! The vet tech had the nerve to ask Mom Paula if I'd let her take my temperature and my mom said yes. Do you know where she put that thing??? My temperature was normal. The vet tech then tried to make up for it by giving me a snuggle. Do you think I was happy at this point?
Just wait until you put me down. My claws haven't been trimmed yet!
Dr. Keisler then came in to examine me. We talked about vaccinations and Mom Paula told her about Beignet and asked Dr. Keisler to review Beignet's pathology reports and they discussed the appropriate vaccinations. Dr. Keisler doesn't believe in giving unnecessary vaccines either, but that didn't stop her from sticking me! They talked about my foods and Dr. Keisler prefers we eat Royal Canin. She said my feline acne didn't look bad at all, but did suggest I get away from our plastic water fountain. Dr. Keisler talked about how beautiful my coat was and said I had the purrfect little nose! She then picked me up and loved on me.
Now this is more like it.
All in all, everything went fine (except for the green papers spent). Brulee is scheduled to go for her first checkup in December. Brulee will need to get her shots on separate days and be pretreated with Benadryl because she had a reaction last year.
On a different note - we'd like to ask everyone to purr for Auntie Deb and Mom ML. Auntie Deb is having problems from her hand surgery and Mom ML is still having problems with her migraines and did something to her back. Mom ML posted on her blog today and we were thrilled to hear from her. We hope they are both better very soon and are back blogging with us.
We knew you would do super terrific! YEAH! What a healthy little girl. We are purring hard for ML and Deb-
ReplyDeleteWe are glad everything went well with Truffle's Vet visit!! The Vet peoples looked pretty nice!! And Truffle looked comfy in the Vets arms!

We are so happy your visit went well! Now, you can relax for a whole year. Happy thursday. xoxo
ReplyDeletePoor Truffle! We're glad everything went well though! And just think, annual means once a year, you're safe for another 365 days!
ReplyDeleteMy poor girl, let me give you some RUMBLECUDDLES to help you get over it!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like things went OK at the clinic, although I can imagine you were not thrilled with most of it, Truffle! I am not surprised all those veterinary humans wanted to cuddle you!
ReplyDeleteYAY for a good annual! I can't get over the 5.75 pounds though... My cats are apparently mutants! srsly.
ReplyDeleteLove your expression in the pic where the vet tech is holding you -- that says it all.
ReplyDeleteWe're very glad you're fine, though, and that the ordeal is over!
Sounds like the visit went well and you got a clean bill of health, Truffle! YAY! Bet Mom Paula is glad it's over too.
ReplyDeleteOh we are so glad it went well at the vets for you Truffle. That sounds like a great vet and so glad she doesn't believe in all the vaccinations.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to hear from ML again and sure hope she and Deb heal up quickly. Take care all of you.
We are so glad you got a good report from the vettie. And we didn't realized your were a petite little girl. Fred is our light weight, and he weighs 7 lbs. We bet our Puff is close to 4x your weight!!!
