Squillion Day

We were so excited to receive our Rainbow V Squillion in honor of Sweet Praline.  Our Rainbow V Squillion will reside on our sidewall to remind us of our special sister-before-us, Sweet Praline.  Don't you just love our little Rainbow V Squillion?  Do you think Sweet Praline will approve?

Truffle Tuesday

As you can probably imagine, we have to be brushed and combed every day!  We can be a handful at times because we don't like to be groomed on our tummies and back legs, but Mom Paula doesn't give up!  At least Truffle doesn't "run away" every time Mom Paula pulls out the comb now.

Today is Mom Paula's birthday!  We love you Mom Paula!

Awesome Box

Brulee thinks this box was made especially for her!  After all, it says it may contain something "awesome" and she knows she is.

Pee ess - Grandma Faye is home from the hospital.  The doctor told her she needs to recuperate and to take it easy.

Easy Like Sunday

Mom Paula has been home sick since Tuesday.  She said something about catching a "bug".  We wondered where our bug went yesterday and now we find out that Mom Paula caught it!  In the meantime, we're taking it easy with her today.

Our Grandma Faye is still in the hospital from her back surgery on Thursday.  Mom Paula feels terrible that she can't be up there, but she doesn't want to give Grandma Faye her bug.  

Photo Hunt - Upper

Last night a big bug got into the house.  We chased it all over the place, even to the upper edge of our cat tree and into the valance.  Mom Paula can't find that bug now.  We're not telling where it went.

We want to take a moment from having fun to be serious.  Our furriend, KC, is not doing well.  Mom ML says she has a blockage in her sinuses and the doctor says the surgery to correct it, could be fatal.  Mom ML and KC are very special to us and we want her to know that all of our thoughts and purrs are with them.  We know ML reads our blog some, so hopefully she'll be able to read your comments here.

Friday at the Movies: Making Up the Bed

We don't know what it is about changing the bed linens, but we love to participate.  This video is a little longer, but we wanted to show you how we reacted from the first sheet being pulled off the bed until we started a rasslin' match on the mattress.  Watch closely and see Truffle trying to bite the sheets to keep them from being removed.


Thank you for your purrs for Grandma Faye.  The doctor said her surgery was successful, but she'll have a long recuperation.  Mom Paula went to the surgery waiting room during the surgery, but then came home because she is still sick.  We'll keep you updated!

Shades of Silver

Even though the coloring is a little off in this picture because of the lighting in the room, we thought you could see the different shades of silver in our floof!  As you can see, Truffle has much more silver in her coat.  The interesting thing is that Mom Paula had never heard of Silver Shaded Persians before she found us.  Now, she loves the breed and can't get enough of us.

Pee ess - Mom Paula has been sick with an ear infection for several days and now has a sore throat and stuffiness.  She's on her second round of antibiotics and stayed home with us yesterday.

Pee pee ess - Grandma Faye is having major back surgery this morning at 7:30 am.  Please purr for a successful surgery and a quick recuperation.

Brulee loves to watch Animal Planet.  This show had some baby kittens that attracted her attention.  Brulee wanted to know if she was as cute as the kittens on the TV.

Friday at the Movies: Truffle's Silvervine Fish

As we've said before, Truffle loves her toys.  She has them all over the house!  She's especially fond of her silvervine fish that she got from Baby Patches store, Nip and Bones.  This is a short little video of Truffle playing with her silvervine fish and showing off her floofy belly.



Pee ess - Please send some purrs for Mom Paula.  She's been experiencing some vertigo the past couple of weeks and is going to the human vet this morning.

Valentine's Day

Truffle is so happy to have received an invitation from d'Artagnan Rumblepurr (Rumbles) for a special dance on Valentine's Day.  Rumbles was such a gentleman mancat that he asked Mom Paula for permission, "Miss Paula? Would it be ok if I had a V-tines day dance with Miss Truffle?"  This is Truffle's first Valentine's Day as a ladycat, so she's very excited. 

Brulee is hoping she can catch a dance with Hammy at the Valentine party hosted by the Tabby Cat Club.  Even though we're not tabbies, the invitation said everyone is invited to attend, so we're on our way!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine Day with someone you love!

Truffle Tuesday

We had a beautiful weekend in SC.  While Brulee was taking in bird TV through the front window, Truffle decided to watch squirrel TV through the back window.  Notice the evidence that someone was on the table by the placemat . . .

Brulee managed to beat Truffle to the top of the cat tree to enjoy a little bird TV this weekend.  Mom Paula took advantage of a sunny day to get a closeup of Brulee's face so you could see her eye color.

Uneasy Sunday and "Who Let the Dogs Out"

Brulee has an uneasy feeling that the peaceful Sunday won't be that way much longer!

Pee ess:  We wanted to post our entry for the "Who Let the Dogs Out" contest which allows one lucky winner a trip to BlogPaws 2013 this year.  Mom Paula would love to go!  It's not too far from us and having someone pay for the registration and hotel room would be fantastic (especially since the green papers have been tight lately).  We don't know how Tillman feels about two kitties registering for this contest, so we thought we'd share some pictures of our woofie cousins!

Here's Grandma Faye's woofie, Bandit.  Bandit is Grandma Faye's first EVER pet and he's a lovable woofie.  Mom Paula spends overnight there sometimes when her parents go out of town because Bandit always gets sick from stress after staying at the pet hotel.  Auntie Dorenda has two beautiful woofies:  Foster and Sydney.  Foster is an Australian Shepard and Sydney is a Miniature Australian Shepard.  Mom Paula doesn't get to visit them too often, but she loves them too.

We had to watch "Who Let the Dogs Out" on the Hallmark Channel (Fridays at 1:00 pm) and answer the following questions.

1. Tell us what you like most about the show in general.  We think Tillman is so cool and we love how he rides his skateboard.  We think Sydney and Foster's human boy would like to take Tillman with him when he goes to the skate park.  We like to watch shows about all kinds of animals and since Mom Paula's first pets were woofies, they do hold a special place in her heart.
2. If you hadn't heard of BlogPaws before, tell me what you learned about BlogPaws, from the show.  If you DO know about BlogPaws, tell me what you liked the most about the BlogPaws part of the episode.  We've heard of BlogPaws from the other cat and dog bloggers on the Internet.  We enjoyed the interviews with the humans behind the kitties and woofies the best on this episode. Our mom has been lucky enough to meet some of these humans and she'd love to meet many more.
3. Tell me what you'd like to learn at BlogPaws 2013.  Mom Paula wants to learn more about WordPress and Photo Shop Elements.  She'll be retiring in a few more years and wants to do something totally different when she does and what better than to become more involved in the blogging world!?!

Paws and fingers are crossed that we'll win this for Mom Paula for her birthday (it's in two weeks) and we can get a new Flat Truffle and Flat Brulee made to meet all the other flat furriends.

Photo Hunt: Promise

Angel Sweet Praline had a little chat with Truffle and Brulee before they came to live with Mom Paula.  She asked them for a special promise . . .

Sweet Praline:  You've been given the responsibility to take care of Mom Paula since I had to leave for the Bridge.  I've left a big hole in Mom Paula's heart and I need the two of you to promise that you'll take special care of her and help fill up that hole.  Do you promise?

Friday at the Movies: Whole Life Treats

We apologize for this video being so shaking and moving so much, but Mom Paula didn't have time to do a "good" video.  We LOVE our Whole Life freeze dried chicken and turkey treats.  All Mom Paula has to say is "want some chickin'" and we come running.  She has to break the pieces into smaller pieces because Truffle tends to eat them fast and will choke on them.  We don't care just as long as we get them.  Notice how politely we take the treats from Mom Paula's hand.

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for the perch on my cat tree so I can watch bird and squirrel TV.

Brulee's eyes drain a lot because of her little flat face, so Mom Paula uses a daub of water, a daub of Eye Envy liquid, and a daub of Eye Envy Eye Powder to clean her eyes.

Brulee hates the eye cleaning ritual but here's the result of a little daub of this and that.

Friday at the Movies: The Cat Dancer

Our furriends at Jacqueline's Cat House sent us this toy at Christmas and we LOVE it!

The Cat Dancer is such a simple concept for a toy.  Someone rolled up some cardboard and bound it with wire.  Mom Paula says she wishes she were this creative and intuitive to come up with this idea. As soon as Mom Paula pulled it out of the packaging, we couldn't ignore it.  It moves all over the place.

We also see where the name came from because it does make us do a little "cat dance".  Mom Paula is careful to put it up when we're finished (she's tired) because she doesn't want us to hurt ourselves with the wire.  Here's a little video of us playing with our Cat Dancer toy.
