Mom Paula recently obtained a new "ride" and had to clean out her old sports car. Keep in mind that Mom Paula basically lived in her car traveling all over the state for her job and there was no back seat in the car. The result is about 5 bags/boxes of stuff that had to be brought into the house and now the once clean home office is an office jungle again. We love exploring in the office jungle.
Pee ess - Our heating/AC unit died yesterday! The first repairman that was sent out said it would cost more to fix the unit than it was worth. He gave Mom Paula a quote that almost caused her to faint! She checked with several other companies and finally received a quote from a member of the church where she plays the piano that was about $1500 cheaper. Unfortunately, the new system still costs a lot of green papers!!! Mom Paula says she'll be eating ramen noodles for the next couple of years and will have to decide which bills will need to be paid when. At least we're warm now and will be cool when the 100+ temperatures arrive this summer.
Oh noes to Ramen noodles but yes to rummaging. We had to install a new system and it was 8,000 Ramen noodles!
ReplyDeleteOh nos! We are sorry that that happened when it did but we are glad you all will be comfortable.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you're all fixed back up and can snoop through the office jungle in comfort. Happy Friday! XOXO
ReplyDeleteWow, yer Mom needs some treats. Can you spare a few fer her?
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it was all fun to explore! What a bummer that your human had to shell out all that money for the heater/cooler. I hope treats aren't too skimpy for you girls for the foreseeable future!
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry to hear mom Paula had to get a new a/c unit for you. Our head peep had to do that for us a couple years ago. She's thankful that the new ones are more efficient so it saves a little bit of money every month off of the previous year's bills, at least. But it doesn't help with the sticker shock!
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry your Mom nearly fainted at the cost of a new system - everything seems to be at least double what you expect these days.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We're glad your Mom found a cheaper price but we're sure that it was a lot of green papers!! It's never fun when unexpected bills pop up like that.

That is awful about having a new heat and air unit. But at least you are warm now and will be cool this summer. Bet that is fun for you girls to go through all that stuff. Hope you have a good week end.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job sniffing out all the new stuff Mom Paula brought in! What our mom's won't do to keep us warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys gotted your heats fixed. It's too bad that it costs so much to stay warm tho. We loved your movie. There's a lot of cool stuff in your mom's car that needs sniffing. We're glad you guys got that all taken care of.

My goodness...all her car office stuff had to be checked over! You were really busy kitties :)
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you have heat now. Floofy furs help some but not enough. The human says, "Something always needs replaced!"
You pretty girls got some fun stuff, but heat and cool is best when you need them!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, sweet, gorgeous friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteYou two keep yourselves and mom warm until everything is fixed. Our humans had to get a new boiler at the beginning of fall and we were cold, cold for almost 2 weeks. ReplyDeleteWe hope you don't have to eat ramen noodles for years.
ReplyDeleteWow, mai mom's got one of those huge totes fulla crap, too! No "new ride" though. xxoo Uncle Bhu
ReplyDeleteMommy and I went thru the same thing last year. It's enough to make you faint. $7000.00!
