Truffle Tuesday

Truffle can be a little diva around Mom Paula, but she's very shy when people come to visit.  Even our pet sitter has learned she has to come in, sit down on the floor, turn on the tv, and eventually Truffle will come out to visit.  Last week, Mom Paula's nephew William and his girlfriend Courtney came for a visit.  William hasn't seen us in over a year and this was Courtney's first time to see us in person.  The first words out of her mouth were "they are so small!"  Truffle did her usual thing and stayed out of reach for a little while but Courtney never gave up.  We think Courtney won Truffle's trust based on these pictures.
Come out Truffle

Truffle  posed with Courtney.

After about 2 hours of Courtney playing with and holding Truffle, Truffle was totally relaxed with her.  Look at her laying on her back and looking into the camera!

Truffle even let Courtney hug her close!

We were very sad to hear about our furriend, Eric, who went to the bridge yesterday.  We know Angel Sweet Praline was there to greet him.  We're sending our comforting purrs to his brother, Flynn, and his human mom, Jackie at https://twodevoncats.blogspot.com/.

  1. Courtney is an awesome human in my book, for taking all the time to win Truffle's trust! And you KNOW I don't compliment humans lightly!

  2. Cheers to Truffle and Courtney!

And our purrs to Eric's family...

  3. Haha! We think Truffle likes to play hard to get! A true diva!

We are sad about Eric too...we'll miss him very much.

  4. Looks like Courtney has the magic touch!

We are so heartbroken over the loss of our buddy, Eric.

  5. Courtney is a cat whisper....of my gosh!! Two pretty ladies loving on each other is a precious picture.
OH NO we did not know Eric crossed over.

    Heading over now
    Hugs madi and Mom

  6. Those are such sweet pictures, and mom and I enjoyed them so much. I'm glad Courtney knows how to befriend one of us. xox to her.

Mom and I are devestated about Eric and Sauce both. That darn Bridge is calling too many furriends. I can't stand it.

  7. Truffle, we think you have a new admirer! Purrs....

  8. So sad about Eric too.

    Truffle is awesome!

  9. Truffle you be such a brave girl.

  10. That is so terrific that Truffles learned to trust Courtney. Cats know who the can trust. I think it has something to do with body language. Great pictures.
Sorry you didn't get to see ML. And so sorry that she is so sick, poor thing.

  11. Truffle you are having a good time with Courtney.

Our sadness for the loss of Eric is indescribable.

  12. Just heartbroken today over precious Eric...Courtney is a beautiful girl, inside and out because we know lovely Truffle is a great judge of character!...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

  13. Truffle, you have a cute friend, there!

We are very sad about Eric.

  14. Courtney certainly seems to have won over Truffle. Every kitty needs to make a new friend once in a while 'cause we never know when we'll lose an old one like Eric. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  15. Truffle is just very cautious!! But she knows a good'un :)

  16. Looks like you made a new human furriend, Truffle!

  17. Truffle is quite a bit like my Angel Bobo was. Whenever my friend would care for him while I was away, she had to do the same thing. Just ignore him and let him come to her.
Cody is a "people" cat and is totally different.
I love how loving Courtney is! I can tell she adores kitties.
Our hearts are breaking for Flynn and his family. Eric will be painfully missed.

  18. It's lovely to see a new furrendship blossom! xxoo Uncle Bhu

  19. She's purty. I might let her play with me too ;-) Naaaah, she may be cute but she's still a Human!

  20. You have a very nice kind cat sitter. Kizzie says she wants one like Courtney too. We were sorry to hear about Eric and are off to his blog now.

  21. Thank you for your kind words for Eric. We miss him so much.
