When Mom Paula was home sick with shingles a couple of weeks ago, Brulee stayed by her side in the bed. When Mom Paula would wake up, Brulee would move beside her or climb on her lap and turn on her healing purr motor. Mom Paula says that was the best medicine.
What's so unique about this is that Brulee is a lot like Sweet Praline was. Brulee doesn't like to be held, isn't a lap cat, and tends to play a game of "catch me if you can" when Mom Paula tries to pick her up to love her. The video below is of poor quality, but if you turn up your sound, prepare to be totally relaxed by her purr.

ReplyDeleteOh that is adorable Brulee and what a comfort for your mum. Your purr motor obviously has done the trick. You deserve an extra tasty treat for that and I'm sure your mum has been on the case sorting this out.

Great purr Brulee. You sure did help your Mom get all better and that is good for sure. Hope all of you have a great week end.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet that purr was the best medicine!
ReplyDeleteI bet being able to caress that soft, silky fur doesn't hurt, either, right Mom Paula? xxoo Patty & Bhu
ReplyDeleteA cat's purrs have amazing healing powers and kitties have the wonderful ability to know when they are needed most.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, beautiful girl=we know you made your Mommy feel much better, sweetie!...Happy weekend, dear friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteSome kitties know exactly what their humans need! Neither of mine like to be held, but they are willing to chill out in my lap. Maybe Brulee will in time, too.
ReplyDeleteYou are a little purring machine, Brulee. Nothing makes mom feel more relaxed than listening to us purr.
ReplyDeleteOMG! You´re so cute!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!!!
Awww! You need to package that somehow and send it to needy people without cats!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely purr Brulee.
ReplyDeleteOh yea, that is some darn good medicine!
ReplyDeleteGood purring Brulee, we could hear you nice and clear.
ReplyDeleteBrûlée, our mom turned the volume up all the way, but we couldn't hear you. Phooey! So we just gazed upon your glorious floofiness. Have a great woken. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteWe're so sorry you couldn't hear the purring. When we listened to it, it was a rumble throughout the video. Maybe next time she can get a better video with the Flip camera. We've discovered the videos aren't too good with the iPhone.
