At least you could get a clear picture MOM!!!
Pee ess - We want to wish Mom ML a very happy birthday today! She hasn't been blogging in a long time because of moving, health issues, etc., but we still love her and think of her often. We bet a lot of you didn't realize that Mom ML was our human Godmother along with Auntie Deb.
Well they are organized. We gave many of ours to the assisted living home. They still had a VCR
ReplyDeleteHaven't thought about assisted living homes. We'll check on that!
DeleteThat is a great idea from Chey and Gemini! Happy Birthday to ML! You two girls have a wonderful Thursday. XOXO
ReplyDeleteWe nave a lot of those VcR tapes, too. Mostly Disney! WE miss ML and Auntie Deb. We hope ML has a great birthday.
ReplyDeleteCan she borrow a recording DVD thingy to save them to watch all new. And THEN sell the tapes? "Money Fer Nuthin"...
ReplyDeleteShe thinks she has the DVD for each of these videotapes.
DeleteThe humans here have some VCRS scattered around, especially my human's boyfriend!
ReplyDeleteOur DVD player is also a VCR player. Mom brought home some videos from Auntie El's that are like BirdTV for us. We can't wait to see them.

The assisted living is a good idea... also some nursing homes have common rooms that include things like movies and books you can donate.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is a lot of movies! You could open up a video store!
ReplyDeleteLibraries are also a good place to donate to.
I can see "Cats" mol. I am sure a charity could use them!
ReplyDeleteOur Senior Center downtown gets movies donated and rents them out free to anyone, and they also show movies on Friday (sort of like Mommy did at the Community Center in our Building). Someplace like that would probably love some movies!
ReplyDeleteQUINN
Tell your mom that if there is a place called "Half Priced Books" in your town. Mom sells books and DVDs there often. She noticed they also sell used LPs and videotapes. She probably wouldn't get a lot for them, but if she wants to get rid of them to clear space it is worth a shot.
ReplyDeleteWe still watch some oldies on the VCR but the advice the others gave is sound.
ReplyDeleteWe still have some VCR tapes. Brulee, you did a nice job showing us the tapes. Sounds like some good advice to get rid of the tapes. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe see that you are lying right next the the movie "Cats." If you haven't seen it, that's the one you need to put in the VCR first. and feel free to song along. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteMy mum has a lot of old VCRs too but no player to watch them any more. We have got Cats too. She should get a second hand player so she can transfer them to DVD.
ReplyDeleteHomeless shelters or domestic violence shelters might also take VCR tapes.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried EBAY?
ReplyDeleteWe have sold a few on EBay in the past. The shipping just gets so expensive.
DeleteThe mom has a box of tapes like that too. She doesn't know what to do with them either. But others have given some good suggestions.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a "Half Price Books" near you? They buy all sorts of books, records, moovies and such.
ReplyDeleteThe dad at Katnip Lounge has a business selling old tapes. Maybe he would be interested in buying yours? Our mom has seen your flat cats and thinks you did a pawsome job!
ReplyDeleteWe do too! Didn't want to buy the movies all over again. ;)
