Today the CB is going "pink" to remember Skeezix. Skeezix recently left Mom Karen to go to the bridge after a short battle with that nasty cancer. Skeezix has been part of the CB since its beginning and is responsible for many of the activities and terms we use on the CB. Skeezix and Mom Karen have been blogging for 8 years. Skeezix was one of those strong mancats who was very comfortable wearing pink.
We're supposed to share our favorite memory of Skeezix today. Mom Paula was very lucky to meet Mom Karen and Flat Skeezix when she had a business meeting in San Francisco two years ago (right before we came to live with Mom Paula). We just can't imagine how exciting it was to see Flat Skeezix in person! There were other kitties (flat ones) there too, but as usual, Skeezix was front and center. Mom Paula says Mom Karen was very nice and a great time was had by all. You can see Flat Skeezix with his pin boa in front of Mom Paula and Mom Karen beside Mom Paula below.
Mom Paula said to tell you that this picture was "pre" her 23 pound weight loss.
A few long-time furriends and their beans are hosting a special donation drive to raise funds for a shelter charity in Skeezix's name. Please visit the Go Fund Me page to find out more information and/or donate. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Skeezix will be missed, but we're sure he would want all of us kitties to continue celebrating pink and enjoying all of our furriends on the CB. Brulee likes to think she shares a little bit of the fashionista with Skeezix every time she's on her pink Peggy Blankie.
Oh those are beautiful memories! Now we want to add how much we love the Food Lady too!
