We're thankful Mom Paula's shoulder is hurt so we can play with the boxes in the office that she hasn't thrown away yet. MOL! Just kidding - we're not happy that she has a hurty shoulder, but we do like the boxes.
Update on the results of the MRI. It's good news and bad news. The good news is that there is no tear in the rotator cuff (which was a concern). The bad news is that it's the same problem she had with her other shoulder that she had two surgeries on 4 years ago. The doctor gave Mom Paula another cortisone shot, some anti-inflammatory medication, and physical therapy for one month. If her shoulder isn't any better at the end of the month, he's recommending surgery to go in and clean out the joint.

Those boxes look like fun! And let's face it: somebody needs to be having fun around there, because Mom Paula is not having any fun right now at all!
ReplyDeleteSending purrs for Mom Paula. xoxo
Your poor human - the next month is going to be none too fun for her. :-( I hope it does the trick, though and she does not need any surgery. I'm sending lots of purrs her way!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so ouchy. Keep up the excellent nursing duties, girls, and we'll be purring that physical therapy helps enough without surgery.
ReplyDeleteReading what your Mom may have to have done on her shoulder made our Mum wince. We will purr that the medication and physical therapy work for her this time.

I guess every cloud has a silver lining!! But we hope mom's shoulder doesn't need surgery! xox
ReplyDeletePurring that your mom gets better without the surgery! We're keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to be purraying extra hard that Mom Paula does not have to have surgery. That would be dreadful, especially as the holidays are right around the corner. Some nice kitty warmth will surely help. Make sure you two are being good nurses. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
