Photo Hunt - Mellow
You can't be more mellow than Truffle is when she's sleeping at Mom Paula's feet on her soft quilt.
What was not so mellow was Mom Paula last night when she heard a banging noise at her front door after 10:00 pm last night. She thought it was her next door neighbor checking on her, but when she opened the door, Truffle came running out from between the doors. What is so scary is that Mom Paula doesn't remember even opening the door and she has no idea how long Truffle was stuck between the front door and the storm door. Truffle received lots of comforting hugs after this incident. Here's a picture of the small space Truffle was trapped in for who knows how long . . .

Holy CATS! We hope tonight is considerably more mellow!
ReplyDeleteWow, Truffle, I bet your human was even more freaked out than you were over this incident! I'm so glad you are safe and warm - I bet you don't get yourself caught in that situation again!
ReplyDeleteOh my cat! Thank Baste she's ok. We bet Truffle isn't the only one that needed comforting after that.
ReplyDelete((Hugs)) for poor, scared, Mom Paula, too.
Yikes.....well, at least Truffle made it known that she didn't want to stay between doors any longer!! She does look quite happy to be snoozing on the quilt though.
ReplyDeleteHoliday Hugs, Sammy
Truffle did good letting you know where she was!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you heard Truffle banging on the door - they are so quick on their paws it's easy to do.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
What a smart precious little girl! I accidentally did that to Robin when he was a little kitten. Made me so sorry I have never forgotten it even though she was retrieved quickly.
ReplyDeleteAre you a Houdini kitty, Truffle? MOL! Minchie is always getting locked in our closets.
ReplyDeleteGlad she is okay!
ReplyDeleteOMC, Truffle! We are glad you got back inside. Be sure to continue to get all the sympathy you can from this from everybody, and maybe get some extra treats out of it, too. If you must have a traumatic event, at least make it worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Truffles was between the doors and not outside. Sure am glad you found her. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAwww, Truffles! You were so brave and sweet bet you get extra cuddles and treats for a few days!
ReplyDeleteOh poor Truffle! I am glad she got in though and knew how to make herself heard. I bet she won't do that again!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd just when you needed more rest. Glad it turned out okay :-0
ReplyDeleteTruffle we are so glad you are OK. We bet you just thought that was a cool new hiding spot and when you were ready to come back in you knocked! YOU are one smart ladycat!
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Truffle! Good thing she knocked on the door.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the time I took Merci out the front door and followed a cat crying. When I reached the back yard, I found Cyndi halfway up the screen door, trapped between the doors.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been scary =(
ReplyDeleteGlad every thing turned out O.K. and cuddles were liberally dispensed.
Deep breath now!
Well, Trufle and Mom Paula, I'll bet you both lost 9 lives over that incident. We're thankful you got found, Truffle, and that Mom Paula is maybe a bit more relaxed now.
ReplyDeleteI did something similar with Mikey several weeks ago; only he got left on the closed-in front porch. Don't know for how long, although I'm guessing it was about 2 hours too long.
Glad she let you know she was there and everything turned out okay.
ReplyDeleteThat has happened to efurryone of us, and it is so scary. Our Mom usually doesn't know how or when it happens either. Glad you are rescued and got extra special care afterwards. MEOWY CATMESS! MOL, HO, HO, HO! Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
