Friday at the Movies: What's Up Doc?

Rabbit treats!  That's what!

We were thrilled when Chewy.com asked if we'd like to try out the Wysong Dream Rabbit Freeze Dried treats.  We've never tried rabbit before, but guess what?  It's delicious!

Wysong makes tasty foot and treats that are also healthy.  Their holistic recipes are developed by in-house pet health doctorate professionals.  Each recipe is packed with probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, essential fatty acids, phytonutrients, natural form antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
Brulee claiming the treats for her own

Dream Treats are starch-free raw meat treats, uniquely processed without damaging heat using the Wysong True Non-Thermal manufacturing technology. Each meaty disc is loaded with extra vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, powerful natural nutraceuticals and more! A truly beneficial dog, cat, or ferret treat (yes, it's a raw ferret food too)! Dream Treats natural dog and cat treats are great tasting, no-worry, no-guilt snacking for the important companion animal in your life. The no-mess discs are easy to carry along for training treats and excellent to share any time. Serve every day to ensure an optimal supply of important nutrients and as a gift of love...real genetically appropriate natural food your pet dreams about.
Just look at that look of sheer pleasure on Brulee's face!

The Wysong Dream Rabbit Freeze Dried treats are about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.  This is a little large for Mom Paula to just give us the treat and leave us alone.  As you can see in the picture above and in our video, the large size didn't stop us from immediately eating it and breaking it off.  Mom Paula will break each piece into smaller pieces for us to eat so we don't get choked.  Our only recommendation to Wysong would be to make these in smaller pieces for kitties!

The Wysong Dream treats come in three flavors:  chicken, rabbit, and quail.  If the other flavors are as delicious as the rabbit, we definitely want some more!

What was so amazing about these treats is how much Brulee loved them.  As many of you know, Brulee has the stereotypical little flat face and small mouth of a Persian and she doesn't always find it easy to eat treats. However, just look at how big she opened her mouth to get a bite of these tasty rabbit treats!
As Goma would say, "Get into my belleh, treat!"

A 4.9 ounce bag sells for $11.99 at Chewy.com.  This may sound a little expensive for treats, but both of us get several bites off of one treat, so they will last us quite a while.  You'll see how much we loved the treats in our video below.

We received the bag of treats "free" from Chewy.com to sample and review.  We were not compensated for our opinion and our honest opinion is our own.  We definitely give the Wysong Dream Freeze Dried Rabbit treats a 4-paws up!

Critters in the House

The other night we heard something in the closet and stared and stared and stared!  Mom Paula never could figure out what was in there and she didn't bother to open the closet door either.

Truffle Tuesday

Truffle isn't too happy since Brulee has found a way up on her desk and likes to keep Mom Paula company, too!
Get off my desk Brulee!!!!

Open Sesame! Please!

Brulee still hasn't figured out how to reach the bags of treats, so she's resorted to staring at the jar of treats, hoping she can open them telepathically.

Getting Closer

Now that Brulee has discovered where the treat bags are, she can't stay off the desk.  She hasn't quite figured out how to get to the bags, but she's trying.

Friday at the Movies: Brulee's Missing Fur Horns

Because of Brulee's little flat face, she gets tear stains pretty bad, so Mom Paula has to wash her face on a regular basis.  Brulee hates it!  In this short video, Brulee is embarrassed that her fur horns appear to have disappeared while Truffle just watches her from above.

National Love Your Pet Day

Today is National Love Your Pet Day!  We're glad this day is on the calendar, but we're very thankful that Mom Paula loves us everyday.  Our wish is that one day all kitties could have someone to love them as much as Mom Paula loves us.

President's Day

Today is President's Day in the United States.  We're basically celebrating the birthdays of our first president, George Washington, and another great president, Abraham Lincoln.  It's one of the state government holidays so we have one more day with Mom Paula home.  Would you believe she's been home with us 6 whole days because of the ice and snow and weekend?  We don't want her to go back. In the meantime, we'll keep an eye on her while she tries to work from home.
Truffle can't understand why Brulee thinks sleeping on the printer is comfortable.

Not So Easy Sunday

We had lots of excitement at our house on Valentine's Day.

This was not an easy weekend!

First, Mom Paula was home for the third day from work because of all of the ice and snow.  The roads were starting to clear at lunch time and she needed to get to the church to pick up her check.  Well, as you guessed, she fell on the ice beside her car.  She didn't think she'd hurt anything, but her left shoulder (the one that just had surgery) and her left knee hurt.  Here is what our driveway looked like (you can see the ice beside the car).  Mom Paula's nice friend Whitney pulled up right after Mom Paula fell and Whitney helped Mom Paula clean off the windows.

Notice in the picture above that the yard across the street still had snow and ice at 12:00 noon. When Mom Paula got home at 5:30 pm, their snow was gone, but ours will still covered.

Then, last night around 10:21, we felt the ground beneath our house rumble.  We thought is was one of those big military cargo planes going overhead, but it just kept rumbling and moving.  Guess what?  We had an earthquake in the town of Edgefield, SC, which is about 60 miles from us!  It had a magnitude of 4.1 and was felt in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

We're ready for things to settle down again.  It's supposed to get in the 70s later this week.
No more ice, snow, or earthquakes - Okay?!?!

Photo Hunt: Reflection

If you didn't know that was a reflection in the mirror, you might think Mom Paula had three kitties.

Brulee pauses a moment to check out that third kitty in the mirror to make sure she's just a reflection. She looks very familiar, though.

We're also participating in Caturday Art for the first time.  This photo was done using the "polarized" setting in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all of our furriends!  We are so excited because we received an invitation from those two handsome mancat brothers from New Zealand to attend the Queen of Hearts dance at Madi's place.

That debonair Rumbles asked Truffle to be his date.

Hammy asked Brulee to join him at the dance.

We are so excited to be attending our first official dance with dates by our sides.  We hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Thankful Thursday: PetBox Review

We are so thankful we were given the opportunity to review the PetBox.  Angie Bailey from Catladyland recommended our names and Lilli from PetBox contacted us. The box arrived from the man in the brown shorts and even though the box may have looked damaged on the outside, we immediately began to check it out as soon as Mom Paula put it on the floor.  Brulee immediately jumped on the box (unusual for her) and began sniffing and trying to open the box.

Here's a little information from the company about PetBox.  PetBox is more than just a monthly delivery service that introduces its members to fun and healthy new pet products every month. Instead, they have decided to go the extra mile and personalize each member's monthly subscription by providing a better user experience that allows members to pack their own PetBox each month with products and supplies that actually make the most sense for their furry friends. The PetBox pet experts scour the planet looking for only the best products to offer its members. You won't find thousands of products to choose from, rather only products that make your furry friend's life more healthy and enjoyable.

We are very curious kitties, but don't usually get into a box until Mom Paula starts pulling things out. As soon as the box was open, both of our noses went into the box.

There were lots of great things in there that both of us wanted . . .

Truffle found something that she really wanted and wouldn't let Brulee get near the box until she dug out a Nip Nanner and immediately began playing with it.

Brulee loves feathers and luckily for her, there was a feather toy.

In addition to these two favorites, there were other toys and even some treat bags.

There were Zuke's G-Zees Tender Grain-free treats for cats (turkey), Blue Kitty Yums treats (seafood), the Yeowww! Nip Banana, a tin of Yeowww! Stinkies Sardines, Kong Naturals balls, a Kong refillable catnip mouser, Supercat Catnip Markers, and a Kong interactive feather toy.

We like that you can either let PetBox choose the items or that you can select your own.  It's also great that the price is cheaper the more months you commit to.  An added plus is that each box that is shipped feeds a rescue animal.  We love that you can choose to buy the box by the month or select a long term purchase.  Shipping is free with each purchase.  We were really impressed with this box and look forward to the possibility of purchasing future boxes.

We received the PetBox free from the company to review.  The opinions are our own and we were not compensated for this review.

Please Vote for Me

We don't usually enter contests because like everyone else, we like to win and we know there are lots of kitties and woofies out there.  However, recently a contest was announced in an email Mom Paula received that you could win a $100 gift card to Wag.com if you submitted a photo for their Valentine Contest.    When Mom Paula pulled up the page, there were only 3 other animals participating and all of them were woofies, so we said, "sure, let's try it."  The voting ends at 11:59 PM on  February 12, 2014.  We weren't going to mention it on our blog until it became obvious that two of the woofies are starting to get votes that are growing almost exponentially.  We suspect either vote bots or exchanging votes, which are both cheating.  We would like to win, but we know there is no way to catch up with the extremely high numbers these two woofies have.  However, we would like to have a lot of "honest" votes.  If you're a member of Facebook, please consider going to https://www.facebook.com/petassure?v=app_448952861833126&rest=1 and casting your honest vote for Brulee.  We appreciate it.  Mom Paula says it was so tempting to go down that dark valley and "cheat" too, but we were all raised better than that.  We think we're going to stick with honest contests that are sponsored by the CB.

Now that we have that out of our system, we can go and get some treats.  Right, Mom???

UPDATE:  Mom Paula received this message from the sponsors of the contest.

"I just wanted to keep you posted and let you know that we're likely going to be adjusting the contest in light of these issues. We haven't finalized how yet, so keep an eye on the page - we'll post the details as soon as they're finalized."

The link is down right now, but when it's back up, we'll let you know.

Easy Like Sunday

We're going to hang out on the bed today and take it easy.
