Dr. Seuss Day
Today is Dr. Seuss Day, which is also known as Read Across America Day! Mom Paula doesn't believe she'd be where she is today if she hadn't read the Dr. Seuss books when she was a little girl (which was a loooooooong time ago). The fun thing about Dr. Seuss is the nonsense rhyming of the stories. Some of Mom Paula's favorite Dr. Seuss books are Green Eggs and Ham, Oh the Places You'll Go, and The Cat in the Hat. We wanted to write a poem today, but we're a little tired after trying on all of the hats and bow ties.

ReplyDeleteDr Seuss is an inspiration to so many and our mom is glad his books were around when she was young. Even as a child she loved his illustrations. One of her most cherished books was one with 3 stories in it - Yertle the Turtle, Gertrude McFuzz & The Big Brag, not the stories that come to mind first but great just the same.
ReplyDeleteYou two look great all decked out for this special day. Happy Doctor Seuss Day, sweet pals!
ReplyDeleteYou both look wonderful in those great Dr. Seuss hats.
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrrrrrrs, Spike

ReplyDeleteMom's been thinking that it would be so much fun to have one big photo with all the cats who decided to don a Dr. Seuss hat today. You two look adorable. Wish you'd made a go at writing that poem. Maybe next year. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
