Mom Paula thinks this photo of Brulee look like a floofy silver Elvis! MOL! Brulee likes to sleep under the ceiling fan in the bedroom and her floof is always flying all over the place.

Truffle "biting" into the Wellness Divine Duos
When you open the cup, the pate is on top. To serve the recipe, you peel the lid, flip the cup on the plate and lift the cup off of the food to reveal the pate base topped with the layer of cuts and gravy.
Both Truffle and Brulee loved the chicken pate & diced duck recipe. Truffle licked the bowl clean and went over to Brulee's bowl to finish what she left behind. Brulee was very fond of the delicious gravy and pate and even ate some of the tasty tender cuts of duck.

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful . . .
Some of your humans may remember the Pantene commercial where the actress, Kelly LeBrock said, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful." Truffle thinks this photo relates to that phrase, but she'd never be a diva like that! MOL!
Pee ess: Truffle doesn't think anyone would really hate her, but this photograph just reminded Mom Paula (she's old) of that commercial from the 80s.

We don't know what it is about boxes, but we LOVE them and the bigger, the better!

Yummy New Stinky Goodness
Our friends at chewy.com sent us some new food to try out: The Wellness Divine Duos. Chewy.com sent us the chicken pate and diced duck flavor.
Brulee sniffing the new stinky goodness
The Wellness Divine Duos come in six different flavors to satisfy even the finickiest kitties. We're already a fan of the Wellness brand of canned food and were very excited about trying this new type of food. This wet food comes in a plastic container with a easy to remove top (no pulling out the spoon to save fingernails). When you first open the top, you see the pate layer, which is one flavor.
Brulee and Truffle checking out this interesting flavor.
The cool thing about this new stinky goodness is that your human just flips it over into the food bowl and there is another flavor of chunks in gravy and spills over the pate. Both of us immediately went to the bowl to eat the food.
Many of you know that Truffle will eat almost anything, so she dove right in and cleaned her plate. Brulee is our little finicky kitty and she usually will lick all the gravy and leave the chunky. However, since this food mixed the gravy, chunks, and pate together, even Brulee began eating immediately.
You can tell we both liked the food because she didn't even come up for air for a photo shot! According to Chewy.com's website, the Wellness Divine Duos combines two tasty flavors and textures in one cup! A layer of savory pate topped with a second layer of tender cuts in gravy, Divine Duos enhances the experience of everyday meals for cats.
Key Benefits
- Grain-free
- Quality meats and wholesome vegetables
- No wheat, corn, soy or artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
- Convenient, clean, easy-open container
- Made in the USA!
We definitely give the Wellness Divine Duos "four paws up" and look forward to trying other flavor combinations. This delicious food is currently on sale at $33.99 for a case of 24 containers. Wellness offers free shipping for a total order of $49+ and a flat rate of $4.95 for total orders less than $49. Chewy.com's shipping is very quick, too!
We received this food free from chewy.com and our opinions are our own. We received no compensation for this review.

Happy Father's Day
Even though we have different mommy cats, we share the same daddy cat: Peerage Jayden of Crystalpurrs (aka Jayden). We are very luck we know who our daddycat is. Jayden lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC and he's pampered like the king he is and he's part of the family. He's such a handsome mancat and we think both of us inherited his great looks. Happy Father's Day to Jayden.
We also want to wish a Happy Father's Day to our Grandpa Paul.

Flashback Friday at the Movies
This is one of our favorite videos of Truffle. Truffle had been living with Mom Paula for a couple of weeks when she discovered the water fountain. This video is a little longer than usual, but you simply must watch to see Truffle's determination to "eat" the water. We must apologize for the loud laughter from Mom Paula, but it was so nice to hear it after losing Sweet Praline 5 months earlier and little Beignet only a month earlier. We hope this Flashback Friday video brings a little smile and laughter into your household today.

Show Your Colors
Today is Meezers Colors Day in the Cat Blogosphere. Originally this was a day for the "meezers" to show off all their varied and beautiful color points. Now, we celebrate this day by all of us kitties simply displaying the beautiful colors they wear.
We aren't Meezers, but we are a unique breed of Persian. We are Silver Shaded Persians. According to the breed profile from the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA), the description of the shaded Persians is: "The exquisite silvers are considered the most ethereal of all Persians. The chinchilla is a sparkling white cat with black tipping scattered as evenly as stardust, ever so lightly, on the face, legs, tail and body. Shadeds show a mantle of black on the back, shading evenly down the sides. The tipping on the legs and face should match and is darker than the chinchilla. Silvers and goldens have green or blue-green eyes rimmed with black, black paw pads and brick red or rose nose leather."
This photo shows our "silver" shading on our backs.
Truffle (left) and Brulee (right)
Truffle has more silver shading that Brulee. She has a lot of silver on her face, which almost makes her look like a meezer. She has beautiful green eyes, but she has a black, leathery nose, which isn't standard for a silver shaded Persian. This is what makes Truffle so unique from other "silvers".
Truffle's beautiful silver shading on her back.
Brulee is more the "standard" silver-shaded Persian. She has a light tipping of silver on her back, has a unique shade of green eyes, and that cute little rose/red nose. Unfortunately, since Brulee has a little flatter face than Truffle, she has a lot of eye drainage. Mom Paula tries to keep them clean, but it's difficult. The CFA continues to describe the breed: "The Silver Persian has long been referred to as the “Rolls Royce” of the cat world. The look is timeless and elegant, and they have always been described as regal and exquisite in appearance. It is a “breed” of classic, incredible beauty, considered by many to be the most beautiful Persian color, if not “the fairest of them all.” If you'd like to read more about our breed, you can visit the article on the Cat Fanciers Association page.
Brulee with her red nose, eyeliner-green eyes, and famous fur horns!
We hope you've enjoyed our little lesson about silver-shaded Persians today and learned a little bit more about our unique coloring.

Friday at the Movies: Taking Away the Sheets
We just love it when Mom Paula changes the sheets on our her bed. She tries to fuss at us, but ends up playing with us.
What's even better than playing on clean sheets is exploring the mattress. Our mattress is one of those pillow topped things with all kinds of nooks and crannies. Truffle even discovered another place to rest in the quilt on the chest.

Thankful Thursday
We have lots to be thankful for today.
Truffle wants to thank everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes this week from all of our furiends from the CB and FB.
Truffle posing for her birthday photo beside her calendar page.
We're very thankful for the beautiful birthday graphics and our new header from the wonderful Ann of Zoolatry!
Truffle's BD announcement for the CB on June 2.
And our biggest news this week is that Mom Paula doesn't need surgery on her hand! The human vet said she could come out of that ugly brace (she had 3 since February), she could stop physical therapy (paying someone else and do it at home instead) and that she could start getting back to normal activities. He said the injury was healing itself.
The wrist is still a little swollen, but looking so much better!
All in all, it's been a pretty good week so far!
Truffle and Brulee sharing the foot rest
Pee ess - we won't talk about the computer monitor dying, the continuous medical bills, and Mom Paula's stress level right now. MOL!
