Part of the pawparazzi!
She was also thrilled because she was able to meet so many of her human blogging friends from the past 6 years of blogging: Debbie Glovatsky (Glogirly), Sue Grybel Strong (The Island Cats), Janiss Garza (Sparkle the Designer Cat), Deb Barnes (The Chronicles of Zee and Zoey), Lisa Richman (A Tonk's Tail), Linda Rogers (Savannah's Paw Tracks), Jeanne Kudich (Random Felines), Caren Gittleman (Cat Chat with Caren and Cody), Alana Grelyak (Cat in the Fridge), Janet Blue (The Cat on My Head), Julie McAlee (Sometimes, Cats Herd You), Connie Stevens (Tales from the Foster Kittens), and Layla Morgan Wilde (Cat Wisdom 101). She also met some new bloggers: Patty Woodland (The Maaaaa of Pricilla), Amy Palmer (Sebastian the Sensitive Soul), and Emily Hall (The Kitty Cat Chronicles). There were others at the cocktail party and at dinner at Maggiano's, but she can't remember who they were at this point and she totally forgot to take photos with her human friends. We think she was still a little awestruck from meeting Waffles in person or she is still in shock from the soccer team (she refuses to tell that story).
Mom Paula with the famous Waffles can!
After a wonderful dinner with 17 cat bloggers, Mom Paula was invited up to Jeanne Kudich's room to meet Stoli and Sangria, two foster kittens from Random Felines. She did manage to get a picture with Stoli. She promised us that she wasn't bringing home a little brother for us. She said she talked with Jeanne, Julie, and Sue until after midnight!

Mom Paula did manage to bring home a can of the Mad Kitty Cocktail (we're still looking for the swag!). We don't know what she wants us to do with it and Brulee wasn't too happy because this is what Mom Paula put in front of her on her Gotcha Day. MOL!
Brulee with the Waffles' can
Mom Paula: This was the best decision I've made in a long time. Work has been really rough lately and I've had some health issues that I haven't shared with everyone, but I haven't laughed and smiled so much in just a few hours as I did last Friday night. I wasn't able to attend the conference, but I did attend the cocktail party for Waffles, go to dinner with 17 cat bloggers, visit some foster kittens, and have a nice morning chat over coffee and hot chocolate Saturday morning before leaving to drive back to Columbia, SC. I'm truly looking forward to seeing my new friends again at Blogpaws in Nashville. Thank you to everyone for helping me to feel so welcome and appreciated. I really needed this!
We are glad you had such fun. But we're really glad that you didn't bring home a baby brother for Truffle and Brulee...
ReplyDeleteMom is feeling jealous of that wonderful camaraderie. We are so glad Mom Paula had such a good time.
ReplyDeleteGlad ya had a good time!
ReplyDeleteMy human says that dinner was one of the highlights of her trip! Brulee, don't worry - your human will have LOTS of cool stuff to bring home from Nashville next year!
ReplyDeleteThe head peep says she is so glad she got to spend time with Mom Paula in Atlanta. She feels the same way about the weekend being such a much-needed getaway from the pressures of life back home to spend a little time with friends. It's hard to remember how much humans need to take breaks like that until after they do it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time and a well deserved break.
ReplyDeletemom LOVED meeting you in person... it was so much fun and mom says she can't wait for Nashville either!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time! We so hope Mom Paula is at Blogpaws next year so our Mommy can meet her.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad Mom Paula had such a good time ! Mum tried to use our teleportation tunnel, but it didn't work ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteHappy gotcha Day, Brulee. We might have to report your mom for offering you alcohol, though. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like Mom Paula had a wonderful time. Laughter is important for health. It must be such fun to meet other bloggers in person.
It looks and sounds wonderful. I am glad you decided to go and have such a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Gotcha day Brulee! It's great when cat bloggers can get together. :)
ReplyDeleteFriday really was a huge treat! I didn't attend the conference either, but the trip into Atlanta for Friday evening's festivities was more than worth it! It was great to meet you, and I am SO looking forward to BlogPaws 2015.
ReplyDeleteP.S. You're not going to tell the soccer story?! But that was one of the highlights!!! ;) ;)
Paula, Mom says she was tickled to finally meet you. Your bright smile is so infectious. She says that you did the right thing by skipping the conference and just sharing time with friends. And she promises not to blurt out anything about those soccer players. She really looks forward to seeing you at BlogPaws in May. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
