The Palmetto Bowl
We've reached the last football game of the regular season (we hope we make a bowl this year). The game is against our in-state rival, Clemson University. Mom Paula has a degree from both South Carolina and Clemson, but she's a die-hard Gamecock (South Carolina). She sold her tickets for this game because it's out of town and she's going to stay at home and watch it with us. We think we may need some ear plugs because she tends to yell at the TV.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry the gamecocks lost, but at least you can say the team you went to won since you graduated both schools. My husband would be in the same boat as you when Army played the University of Cincinnati. I feel your pain. There is always next year. At least it sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving and with Christmas just around the corner good days are coming. lots of Purrrs to you.
ReplyDeleteWe heard the Gamecocks lost. We're sorry, Mom Paula. But you should still be proud of your team.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We're disappointed but we know it's just a game.
DeleteMommy says she is from Brasil..... and in there, football is played with your Foot and a ball - therefore it's called football...... Which is why she doesn't get the pile of huge guys every five seconds in "American Football (which is played with your hands, and and oval thingy). She thinks it's a very weird game indeed.
ReplyDeleteHappy Cat Family
Hope your team wins even though my vet bleeds Clemson so don’t tell her I said this. I’ll deny it.
