Thankful Thursday
Things are finally starting to get normal around here again. Mom Paula has been running a cool air humidifier in the bedroom for the past three days and Brulee's breathing is better (and so is Mom Paula's). Truffle was still a little "hissy" with Brulee yesterday morning. Mom Paula got smart and put the Feliway diffuser in the hallway with a new bottle. There was some left in the bottle, so Mom Paula forced open the top, poured it on a damp wash cloth, and put it on a part of the fan of the humidifier so the Feliway could get in the atmosphere in a different way. When Mom Paula got home last night, both of us met her at the door and were ready for our treats. For the first time in 4 days, Truffle didn't hiss at Brulee! We both also stayed in the living room while she was watching TV, too. We've been a little antisocial and hiding. Brulee is still just a little congested, but she is so much better. Now to get to grooming her fur to get rid of the mats that have formed and cleaning those eyes!
We are so thankful for all of the purrs, purrayers, and good thoughts the last couple of weeks from our furriends and their humans in the CB.

Glad things are startin to get back to normal!
ReplyDeleteYay! We love good mews.
ReplyDeleteContinued purrs for all of you.
XOXO
Yay ! Those are great news ! We hope everything goes back to normal very soon ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteMe too! I knew they would eventually, but it is SO stressful while it is going on.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad things are looking up. A few people have suggested to me, in the past, to put a little bit of the same scent that you wear (if any) on the cats in your house if you're having problems with hissing when coming back from the vet. I don't wear perfume, but something else would do, I would think. Just as an FYI for any future problems. (Derry once was hissy when Nicki came back from a dental, and it took a day or two for things to calm down.)
ReplyDeleteBTW, I run a cool mist humidifier for Nicki's asthma, but I also bought a warm mist one this winter and I actually prefer the warm one, find it works better at raising the humidity level in the living area.
Thank you. I borrowed a cool mist one, but also purchased a warm mist humidifier yesterday. Haven't taken it out of the box yet.
Deleteits no fun being stuffed up
ReplyDeleteYou still look great even when you are sick. That was a great idea to put Feliway on the fan blades
ReplyDeleteWe are glad that things are returning to normal!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Brulee is feeling a bit better and that Truffle isn't hissing at her anymore. We continue to send purrs and hope that Brulee continues to recover.
ReplyDeleteso glad brulee is better we use a warm air vaporizer on frankies allergies and he just loves it
ReplyDeleteI did buy a warm air vaporizer and thought I'd try it tonight. Maybe it will help both Brulee and me.
DeleteMom Paula
We are happy to hear Brulee is feeling better and Truffle is not hissing.
ReplyDeleteWe purr she keeps on feeling better.
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
Glad things are starting to get back to normal by you too. This month for us has seen lots of cat sitting jobs and one doggie/house sitting job for Mom Peggy. And the worst thing was Mom losing her closest friend to pancreatic cancer (only 52) three weeks ago. She cries very easily but we're sure that will get better in time.
ReplyDeleteMom Paula tried to call your mom the other night and then remembered she was pet sitting. We are so sorry to hear about her closest friend.
DeleteWe sure are glad things are improving. We are always delighted when normal shows up.
ReplyDeleteOh we are so glad to hear that things have settled down and that the girls are relaxing again with each other.
ReplyDeleteWe're thrilled to know that Brulee has "turned the corner" and is feeling better. "Rough or not", she's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am glad Brulee is getting better, and will keep purring for her. I haven't been able to check in for a couple of days.
ReplyDeletethis is purrrfectly better mews at your casa!
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad that everyone is doing better. It sounds like the humidifier is helping everyone.
ReplyDeleteWe're so happy that you're all feeling better and getting back to normal!
ReplyDeleteSuch great news that things are finally getting back to normal. Purrs continue for Brulee that she's back to 100% real soon.
ReplyDeleteNormal is good. Calm is good.
ReplyDeleteWe like normal! So glad things are getting back to where they should be. Hugs!
