Brulee is so floofy that sometimes it's difficult to tell which end is her head and which end is her tail? MOL!

Wellness CocoChia Bakes Treats
We received a new treat from Chewy.com to review this month as part of their Blogger Outreach Program. We were very excited to try the Wellness TruFood CocoChia Bakes Treats because we've always liked the Wellness brand of foods and treats.
Brulee checks out the CocoChia Bakes from Wellness
We were sent the Wellness TruFood CocoChia Bakes with Chicken, Beets & Coconut Oil Grain-Free Cat Treats flavor. The TruFood line of products from Wellness is made from whole foods from farm, field, and sea. They are grain-free and slow baked and include coconut oil and probiotics. You can find a list of the ingredients here.
Truffle takes a sniff while Brulee waits patiently for her turn.
Everyone knows that Truffle loves treats, but she didn't like these. In fact, she took one sniff and walked away from them, which is a first for her. Mom Paula thought maybe she was having an off day and offered the treats to her again on different days, but she still refused to eat them.
Brulee liked the treats but only ate a couple.
Brulee was a little more interested and ate the treats, but only a couple. Usually, she'll keep coming back for as many treats as Mom Paula will give her, but she wasn't really "into" these treats. We don't know what was so different with these treats and Mom Paula was disappointed because the treats appear to be healthy based on the ingredients. In fact, Mom Paula said she could probably eat the treats because they were gluten-free. It's very unusual for us to not like treats, but we're sure other kitties may respond in a different manner and these would become their new favorite treat.
The Wellness TruFood CocoChia Bakes also come in a salmon, coconut oil, and spinach flavor. Even though these weren't our favorite treat, we're sure other kitties would love them. They can be found on chewy.com for $3.64 for a 3-oz. bag.

Caturday Art
For today's Caturday Art creation, we used the colored pencil special effects from Pho.to.com. We added a museum mat frame from PicMonkey to complete the art project. In case you're wondering what the big gold thing in front is Brulee is - Brulee was sitting under the dining table behind the table leg.
This art effect really brings out Brulee's beautiful green eyes.

Flashback Friday
We are approaching our 4-year blogoversary in a couple of weeks and Mom Paula is becoming a little nostalgic. We went back to the first week Truffle came to live with Mom Paula back in September 2011. Truffle was really curious about what was in this big, cold box.
The funny part is that the only thing you see in the refrigerator in this photo is the alcohol and Mom Paula doesn't drink. What gives???

Summer Fur Horns
If you thought Brulee had some wild fur horns in the winter, just look at her fur horns in 100+ degree weather in SC.
Mom Paula hadn't cleaned Brulee's eyes or brushed her yet, but when she opened the side door to let in some sunlight and Brulee just posed purrfectly so you could see her beautiful green eyes, Mom Paula just grabbed the camera and got this shot. Even without her grooming, she is such an adorable kitty.

Father's Day
We're very lucky that we know who our daddycat is. Even though we're 11 weeks apart in age and have different mommykitties, we do have the same daddycat, Jayden. Jayden is a handsome silver shaded Persian. He's retired from breeding now and living a very happy and comfortable life in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We thought we'd share a Sunday Selfie Collage of the three of us to honor Father's Day.
Mom Paula is so thankful her dad is still alive and lives within five miles from her. He's had some health issues lately and recently turned 82. She knows how important it is to enjoy every moment she has with him and is thankful for all the things he's done for her and how he's supported her even if he disagreed.

Happy Father's Day to all of the daddy cats and human daddies out there. We know there are some of your human parents who no longer have their fathers here on Earth with them. We offer our comforting thoughts and purrayers as they remember that special male in their lives today.

Caturday Art
We're back to Pho.to.com for our Caturday Art submission today. This artistic graphic, which shows off Truffle's beautiful eyes, was created from the "squares abstract art" within the "stylized effects" category. We're having a lot of fun experimenting with all of the special effects on this website.

International Box Day
There's nothing a kitty likes better than boxes (except maybe treats), so we're thrilled to participate in International Box Day. The only problem is that Mom Paula decided to start tearing down boxes last week and we almost lost our chance to get in a box to celebrate today. Truffle caught the box before it was too far gone.
Brulee even showed that a box is still a box even when it's broken down.
We hope everyone has a wonderful day in their special box(es). Head over to Wag and Woof Pets to see more pets in boxes.
We also want to wish a Happy 79th birthday to Grandma Faye! She's the best.

Thankful Thursday
Mom Paula received the results from her biopsy and all of the tissue was benign!!! We're so thankful there is no cancer. She is still having some problems and will meet with the doctor to determine next steps on Monday. Thank you for all of your good thoughts, prayers, and purrs.

Hiding Out in the Open
Mom Paula had a late start getting to work this morning and one of the reasons was she couldn't find Brulee. Usually Brulee is sleeping on the end of the bed underneath the ceiling fan, but she wasn't there. Mom Paula got down on her hands and knees and looked under the bed because that's where Truffle likes to sleep under the AC vent when it's as hot as it was. Mom Paula went through the house calling Brulee and no response. You can imagine she was starting to get a little frantic by this time. Mom Paula walked into the home office to look one more time and look who was staring at her from the book case.

Can you say HOT? It's in the high 90s-100s in South Carolina this week. We enjoy the sunshine, but we're glad we're inside with the AC.

Sunday Selfie
Brulee has been keeping a close eye on Mom Paula since her surgery this week. Mom Paula won't know the results of the biopsy until another week. She's doing okay, but she has no energy and has a few dizzy spells from the anesthesia. In the meantime, Brulee paused from her nursing duties to participate in The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.

Caturday Art
We've gone back to Pho.to.com for our Caturday Art (sponsored by Athena and Marie). We chose the charcoal drawing for the photo of Truffle on her cat tree. We then went to PicMonkey and chose the Sketchy picture frame. We really like the look of this photo. Have a wonderful Saturday.

Friday at the Movies
It's been a while since we've shared a video on Fridays. Mom Paula couldn't find her little Flip Video camera and when she tried to use her iPhone, she didn't realize she had to turn the phone to landscape mode (turn it sideways) and she has these annoying black vertical lines.
Brulee loves to play with the red dot laser toy. You wouldn't think she could run so fast on those short little stocky Persian legs of hers, but when she sees that dot, you better get out of her way. We hope you enjoy our short little video today.

Trouble Truffle
Many of you were wondering what Brulee was looking at in the Wordless Wednesday post yesterday. Some of you guessed that Truffle was up to something and you were correct. Mom Paula keeps treats and some feather toys on top of the computer desk and we usually ignore them. However, Truffle watched Mom Paula putting a feather toy up there and Truffle was doing her best to get to it. Mom Paula is thankful Truffle hasn't figured out how to jump on top of the shelf (yet).

Sunday Selfie
Truffle is participating in the Sunday Selfie sponsored by The Cat on My Head. Mom Paula was so pleased to meet and talk to Janet Blue (and her husband) from The Cat on My Head at the BlogPaws Conference last week. We hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

We hope to share some photos from BlogPaws this week with some of the kitties and humans Mom Paula was able to meet.

Caturday Art
For our Caturday Art creation, we went back to pho.to.com. We really like the different designs. Mom Paula caught this photo of Brulee but it was in a darkened hallway and wasn't really clear, so she decided to use the "old photo" look from pho.to.com and then added the graphic to the Polaroid frame on PicMonkey. It really does look like some of those old photos Mom Paula has from the early instant cameras.

Chicken Pot Pie for Kitties
We were recently given the opportunity to review Hill's® Ideal Balance™ Crafted Savory Chicken Pot Pie with Buckwheat canned food from chewy.com.
We hadn't tried any of the Hill's products before, so we were anxious to try this specially designed cat food. According to the website, the key benefits of the Hill's Ideal Balance Crafted canned food are:
The food was shredded and had lots of good ingredients in it for us. There wasn't as much gravy as Brulee usually likes, but it looked interesting to us.
The "Crafted" canned food from Hill's Ideal Balance is made of shredded chicken in a delicious gravy, which is a new form of canned food for Hill's. We've told you many times that Brulee prefers the shredded canned food with gravy because it's easier to eat it with her Persian mouth. As soon as I put the canned food on the floor, Brulee claimed it as her own.
We hadn't tried any of the Hill's products before, so we were anxious to try this specially designed cat food. According to the website, the key benefits of the Hill's Ideal Balance Crafted canned food are:
- Keeps your cat healthy & active
- Gluten-free source of energy for an active life, and supports healthy digestion
- Helps keep cat’s eyes sharp and maintain healthy vision
- Helps build muscle for healthy play, and provides a great wholesome taste
- Provides a rich taste and builds muscle for your cat to jump & play longer
- Perfectly Balanced Nutrition
- Made in the USA
Ingredients:
Chicken Broth, Chicken, Pork Liver, Carrots, Spinach, Rice Starch, Buckwheat, Chicken Fat, Egg Whites, Chicken Liver Flavor, Rice, Flaxseed, Potatoes, Potassium Alginate, Calcium Chloride, Fish Oil, Choline Chloride, Calcium Lactate, Calcium Gluconate, Green Peas, Dicalcium Phosphate, Guar Gum, Cranberries, Taurine, vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Ascorbic Acid (source of Vitamin C), Niacin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid), Caramel color, Sodium Tripolyphosphate, Apples, Broccoli, Zucchini, minerals (Zinc Oxide, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Calcium Iodate), Beta-Carotene
Brulee immediately ate most of the gravy in the food, but then decided to be finicky. Mom Paula had to tempt her by sprinkling some of their freeze-dried chicken dust on top of the food. Brulee ate most of her food then. However, Truffle really didn't like this food, which is so unusual for her. We know this is an excellent food for kitties, but each kitty has his/her own taste for food. We're going to donate the remaining cans of food to one of our special human friends who rescues cats and currently has more than a dozen she is taking care of.
You can currently get a 24-can case of the Hill's Ideal Balance Crafted canned food at chewy.com for $29.43, which is a great deal. The Crafted variety also comes in Roasted Tuna and Vegetable Medley and Simmered Salmon Chowder With Quinoa. As always, shipping is free with an order of $49+ and ships very quickly.

Hug Your Cat Day
Since we just celebrated Truffle's birthday a couple of days ago, we thought we'd share this photo of Mom Paula's first visit with the kittens (when Truffle chose Mom Paula as her new mom) in Summer 2011 for Hug Your Cat Day.
Don't you just love how relaxed Truffle was in Mom Paula's arms? We hope every cat gets a hug today and every day.
