Mom Paula doesn't have any live plants in our house. We'd like to say it's totally because she doesn't want us chewing on them and accidentally (or on purpose) ingesting them. The real reason is because she has a brown thumb and can't keep anything alive. She does have a couple of silk plants though.
What leaves?
Every once in a while, some of the silk leaves find their way on the floor. We have no idea how this happens. We like to blame it on the AC vents in the wall. Whenever we "find" one of these leaves, we take advantage of the situation and give them a good whap! That is, until Mom Paula finds them and tries to put them back in the container.
Take that, you nasty leaf!
Background
We decided to try the green background for a little bit. We love the elegance of the gray, but we thought the blog needed more color. We're going to hunt for more green backgrounds.
Sounds to me like silk leaves will whap as well as... as.. as leaf leaves? Fresh! Fresh leaves. That makes sense. Anyway, if a silk leaf will whap, whap away. You clearly have that whapping down pat.

Silk leaves sound a lot like cat toys to me. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteWe think it is pretty impressive that yer mom can get even aritifiacial leafs ta fall from the plants like fer real!
ReplyDeleteWe don't even have silk plants because somekitty (looks at Pierre) ate those, too.
ReplyDeleteStrangely, some silk leaves that look just like those showed up in our front yard the other day. Did they blow in from your house?
Those leaves make for good toys. Mom Paula could save some green papers if she just let you have them to play with. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having such a good time with that leaf. What a great toy. Maybe you could knock some more off. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteA leaf needs whapping no matter what it is made of.
ReplyDeleteIf a silk leaf finds it's way to the floor then it is a toy ;)

We like this green. And we think it's appropriate for the plant post!
ReplyDeleteI like this green, but any background looks good with these 2 beauties as the star attraction.
ReplyDeletewe like the green background - nice contrast
ReplyDeletewe have ONE plant that stays in the house in the winter and on the balcony in the summer. once back inside it is WAY up on a shelf so we can't get to it....
Whapping the leaves looks like a lot of fun. We don't have any real or fake plants here to play with, MOL.
ReplyDeleteThose leaves look like a lot of fun! Whap 'em while you got 'em, I say. I have a brown thumb too, so I totally understand. The only reason my catnip stays alive is because it is near impossible to kill. The green looks lovely by the way. :)

Derby used to chew on everything, including the silk plants. Mum used to tell him it was his fault she couldn't have nice things!
ReplyDeleteLeaves are made for whapping. We're glad you chose the green background ! Purrs
