Isn't this an abnormal amount of rain?
We only had a few puddles around our yard, but the ground is really wet. So far, we've only had spurts where the electricity went out, but we're so thankful we're okay.

Here are a couple of photos of roads within five miles from us. Mom Paula's office is closed tomorrow because of flooding, roads being closed, and concern for rising rivers under major bridges leading into downtown Columbia. The weather service is calling for more rain today.
These photos came from people in the Columbia and Lexington area posting on Facebook.
Pee ess - If the vet's office is open today and the roads are passable, Mom Paula is going to take us both in for a check up with this virus.
So glad the worst didn't hit you and the cats are feeling better.

ReplyDeleteOH MY cats this has been the worst for you all. Thank goodness that crazy Joaquin didn't come a shore too. We've had 9 straight days of rain here in Raleigh. We are not even sure the sun is in the sky any more. Wake Co. recorded ~15" for that period BUT nothing compares to that awful water in SC!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're okay, and I'm hoping that rain predicted for today just didn't come to pass. And best of luck with the URI! My newest from the shelter had a nasty case, too. She's much better now that she has medications on board.
