Many of your humans probably grew up watching Charlie Brown with Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin. It was always one of Mom Paula's favorite movies. Did you know there is a Great Pumpkin Kitty? At least that's what Brulee tells Truffle and she's convinced Truffle to sit in the pumpkin patch for "her" arrival. Brulee thinks the Great Pumpkin Kitty is a female.
Ever since Brulee was a wee little kitten (7 weeks old), she's been fascinated with pumpkins. She thought they complimented her silver and white floof so well. She'd heard something about the Great Pumpkin and figured there had to be a Great Pumpkin Kitty to bring wonderful things to all of the kitties out there. Brulee figured it had to be true because right after Halloween Brulee came to live with Mom Paula and Truffle in a wonderful forever home.

Photo compliments of Terri Rogers Baby Brulee looking for the Great Pumpkin Kitty |
The Great Pumpkin kitty finally arrived at our house directly from Weruva and she brought us some Pumpkin Patch Up! pumpkin supplement. We'd always heard that if kitties and woofies were having "digestive issues" that pumpkin was a great thing to give them. Did you also know that pumpkin is good for us and it tastes great?

Brulee is checking out the Pumpkin Patch Up! and the BFF Tuna & Pumpkin Valentine Recipe. |
Pumpkin is a major source of fiber. We kitties, especially us Persians, tend to ingest a lot of floof which can cause hairballs. Adding some fiber to our diet keeps us from being constipated. Did you know that pumpkin can also help if we have diarrhea? Pumpkin is low in fat and cholesterol and is loaded with beta carotene, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc and vitamins A and C. Pumpkin can also add moisture to our diets, especially if we eat dry food. We eat a lot of canned food, but we also eat dry kibble, so this extra moisture is important to us. Mom Paula says when Sweet Praline would get sick (either constipation from hairballs or diarrhea), the vet would recommend trying to give her some "human" pumpkin to help. Sweet Praline would never eat it! We believe if the Pumpkin Patch Up! had been available, she would have eaten it!

Brulee enjoys her Pumpkin Patch Up! mixed in with her favorite Weruva canned food. |
Weruva has made it much easier for our humans to supplement our diet with pumpkin. The Pumpkin Patch Up! is pureed pumpkin in a pouch. The pureed form makes it easier to mix in with dry and wet food. The only ingredients are pumpkin and water. Weruva recommends that you feed the Pumpkin Patch Up! in conjunction with the regular food, replacing up to 10% of the diet. You can refrigerate unused portions. Our only recommendation to Weruva would be to let the pouches have a resealable top to keep the contents in the fridge so it doesn't spill out. The Weruva Pumpkin Patch Up! can be fed to both dogs and cats!!!

Truffle thinks the Weruva Pumpkin Patch Up! and the BFF Tuna & Pumpkin Recipe are delicious! |
Weruva also provides us kitties with the option of adding pumpkin to some of their canned recipes: Weruva TruLuxe Steak Frites (beef & pumpkin in gravy) and On the Cat Wok (with chicken and beef in pumpkin soup); Weruva Grandma's Chicken Soup (chicken and pumpkin) and Funky Chunky Chicken Soup (chicken & pumpkin); Cats in the Kitchen Funk in the Trunk (chicken recipe in pumpkin consomme) canned food, Pumpkin Jack Splash (tuna & pumpkin soup recipe) and Pumpkin Lickin' Chicken (chicken in pumpkin soup recipe) pouches; and B.F.F. Tuna & Pumpkin Valentine Recipe (in Gravy).
