As part of the Chewy blogger outreach program, we received the Armarkat® Classic Cat Tree (model B2903) to review for the month of December. Mom Paula wanted to find another smaller tree to put in one of the bedrooms for us to rest and this tree fit the bill purrfectly.

Brulee quickly claimed the cat tree as her own |
The cat tree came in a large box and contained only 6 pieces to put together and included the required screws and tool to connect everything. The instructions only showed three basic pictures for putting it together, but Mom Paula had it put together in just a few minutes. It is a smaller tree with the following dimensions.
- Overall dimensions: 25 x 25 x 30 inches
- Base dimensions: 16 x 16 inches
- House dimensions: 12 x 8 x 10 inches
- Perch dimensions: 12 x 10 inches
- Maximum Holding Weight: 20 lbs

Brulee peeking out from the house |
We're only 7 and 8 pounds and are a lot smaller than we look (our floof makes us look twice our size). Brulee is demonstrating that she can only put half of her body inside the house, but she thinks she's hiding from Truffle. Too bad her long tail hanging off the top gives her away. MOL! This would be a purrfect cat tree for kittens, especially in a foster home environment.

Truffle demonstrated the scratching post |
The posts are the purrfect size for us to stretch and scratch. Two fuzzy balls came with the tower (one beige and one blue) to hang from underneath the top perch. Brulee was having a blast playing, upside down, with the fuzzy ball. Truffle immediately put her scent on the cat tree by scratching the sisal rope pole.

Brulee defending her perch on the tower |
We think the photo above shows how much Brulee loved her little sky blue tower. Truffle wanted to get on top of the tower, but Brulee became a ladycat lioness and defended her perch. The cat tree is covered in beautiful sky blue faux fleece. The board material is pressed wood with two poles covered by the fleece and one pole covered by the sisal rope. The post diameter is 3.5 inches.

Truffle challenges Brulee for the top perch |
As you can see from the photo above, the tree is a little small for both Truffle and Brulee to rest comfortably at the same time. This is one reason Mom Paula has several cat trees around the house so we can try to be satisfied. As we said earlier, we highly recommend this tree for people who take care of kittens and young cats.

That cat tree looks like lots of fun! I don't think Binga would fit on it at the same time as me, though! She is awfully big.

ReplyDeleteThat is a cute cat tree! It looks like the two of you like it quite a bit despite it's lack of size. That would be a great piece to give to someone who helps raise kittens!
