We've lived near a Tractor Supply Co.® all our lives and always thought it was for farm supplies. Well, guess what, Tractor Supply isn't just for farmers! Tractor Supply Co. not only has equipment and supplies for rural communities, they have everything the pet owner would need for the health and well-being of their pets. Recently, Mom Paula visited our local Tractor Supply Co. in Lexington, SC, which is about 2.4 miles from our house. She was surprised to discover they had everything from flea preventatives to supplements and toys to training devices for dogs and cats.
Tractor Supply carries many cat food brands that we recognize. Their 4Health™ brand of cat food provides an affordable, premium-quality food that is exclusively made for Tractor Supply in the United States with high-quality and grain-free formulas available. You can see the varieties of formulas here. 4Health™ brand pet food has fresh meat in every formula with less filler. This food allows pet owners to save money while providing their fur children with a rich balance of vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, antioxidants, and proteins.
Tractor Supply Co. is also a huge supporter of animal rescues. They host a Social Media contest each year that awards a total of $25,000 in grants to 10 deserving organizations. Local rescue groups can be found hosting adoption events and fundraisers at neighborhood Tractor Supply stores. Many stores have a PetVet Vaccine clinic that provides affordable clinics inside the stores where pet owners can save as much as 70% off the cost of yearly vaccinations. We were impressed that state licensed veterinarians administer high-quality vaccines and microchips (in select stores) with no appointment and no office visit fees. This service makes it so much easier for pet owners to get their fur children the preventative medical care they need at a low cost. Pet owners can locate the date and location of the PetVet Clinic by typing their zip code or city and state in the appropriate box at the PetVet page.
Thanks to the generosity of TSC, Mom Paula was given the opportunity to visit our local Tractor Supply Co. and purchase supplies for a gift basket to donate to our favorite rescue. As you can see in the photo above, we were able to purchase the 4Health™ cat food in both kibble and canned formulas, cat supplies, treats, and toys. Truffle and Brulee couldn't help but test out the toys to make sure they were appropriate for a deserving kitty. We thought placing all of the items in a high-sided litter box was a great idea because a kitty can never have enough litter boxes.
Once the "basket" was put together and tied up with a nice bow, Mom Paula delivered it to Pawmetto Lifeline, which is our favorite rescue. Our special basket is going to one of the volunteers at Pawmetto Lifeline, who lost everything in the recent floods in South Carolina. The volunteer has two cats who were saved during the floods and were taken care of by foster parents while the family found a new place to live. The family and cats are okay and we're sure the gift basket will definitely help the two cats. In the meantime, the volunteer can continue to work to make the lives better for deserving cats and dogs. Thanks to Tractor Supply, we were able to rescue a rescuer.

That is so neat! We are so glad some needy kittehz will get this! There are lots of goodies in there and the "basket" turned out adorable. We must have our Mom check out our nearest Tractor Supply Company, too.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great donation! The agricultural stores here also sell pet supplies as well as a huge range of other things which makes it much more interesting than when it was just farm supplies.
ReplyDeleteThat makes me happy when a company is kind like that and generous. That was so nice of you to go and get the supplies and make a basket which I am sure was deeply appreciated. Also, you look great in the photo too :)
