Brulee presenting the Pet Naturals Calming Chews |
We were pleased to see Chewy.com offer the opportunity to sample the Pet Naturals® of Vermont Calming Chews as part of the December Blogger Outreach Network.

Truffle begging for her calming chews |
We didn't want to sample the treats if we were already calm, so we asked if we could wait to do our review until after the New Year with all of the fireworks that go off in our neighborhood. Beginning the day before New Year's Eve (yes, fireworks were already going off), Mom Paula let us try the Pet Naturals Calming Chews. As you can see from the photo above, Truffle immediately was attracted to the Calming Chews. The directions are to give one treat daily, but 2-3 chews may be given in a stressful situation. Mom Paula chose to give us two. We really liked the flavor of the treats and ate them with no problem.

Even Brulee begged for the calming chews |
When the first fireworks sounded, Truffle initially went into the bedroom. However, just a couple of minutes later, she came out and jumped up on the computer desk in front of Mom Paula and stayed there the rest of the night, even with the fireworks loudly booming around us. Based on our experience, we'd say these chews should help out in stressful situations and Mom Paula will ask our pet sitter and/or Grandma Faye to give us a treat daily when she's out of town.

ReplyDeleteIt's great to find something that works well Truffle and Brulee.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

ReplyDeleteA treat that is good for you too :)

Maybe I should give these a try for my car trips! Although I've been handling them better lately.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! We didn't have a lot of success when we tried them, but looking back, we think the head peep didn't give us enough for our weight. They might be worth a second try. Besides, more treats is never bad, right?
ReplyDeleteUmm, nummy. These sound like a great option for skittish kitties. Generally, my new "kids" do not eat treats. However, it's worth a try to get them. "The Boys", Hope and Mom Karen
ReplyDeleteThose treats look yummy. I will Dee and Ann that you said hello. We have had a good time and it was great fun meeting Ann.
ReplyDeleteWe tried them a while ago for our scaredy cat, Mickey Mouser. Unfortunately he didn't want to eat them. But he is eating with more enthusiasm lately and maybe it's time to try again. Glad they worked for your girls!

We're glad those calming treats helped Truffle and Brulee. We tried them but didn't notice much of a difference.
ReplyDeleteVERY interesting. I wonder if I could just get a bag of them from that company? I am not prepared to start getting food there as of now.
ReplyDeleteGlad they worked for you girls. Mom needs to get these for Laila. Mom Paula has seen first hand how skittish Laila is.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great review and those boomy things here in SC can be a real pain!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Mom was just looking at these because of something new that may be happening at our house.
ReplyDeleteI could get anxiety if someone were willing to give me treats for it...
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found something that worked! The only reaction to fireworks from my group on New Years was some airplane ears and Glitter choosing a bed a little further from the window.. I'd say stress isn't an issue here much, MOL
ReplyDeleteWe're glad it helped you ! The best part is that those calming treats are yummy too ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWe're glad they worked. We're going to have to try them when they start doing out kitchen!

We're very glad they worked for you and you felt better. We'll have to remember these in case we ever need them.
ReplyDeleteI am glad the treats helped. We tried them, but I couldn't tell if they calmed anyone down.
