Did you know that tomorrow, February 20, is National Love Your Pet Day? We think it's great that someone has set aside a special day to remind people to love their pets, but we're pleased to tell you that we know that we are loved everyday by Mom Paula! Many people may show love for their pets through extra attention, treats, pampering, and all the attention their fur children can handle on this special day but we won't know the day is any different because we get this type of attention each and every day. Mom Paula has had a lot of health issues since we came to live with her 4 years ago, but you'd never know it based on the time and attention we receive. She makes sure we have soft blankets to sleep on, healthy and tasty treats to eat, interactive toys to play with, and a high quality food to eat.

Chicken Soup for the Soul® also believes every day is Love Your Pet Day! They've developed a line of wholesome pet food and has the philosophy that a wholesome pet food can help humans turn moments with their furchildren into stories because they know that when you love your pets, every moment matters. Chicken Soup for the Soul is a family owned and operated business that offers a wholesome and balanced, super-premium pet food to health-conscious customers. Both the dry and wet food products are holistic in nature and are made from only the finest ingredients: real meat as the first ingredients, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. There is no corn, wheat, soy, artificial coloring, flavoring or preservatives. All of the products are made in the USA. You can find the nearest pet store that carries their food by visiting the store locator and typing in your location.
Chicken Soup does a lot more than provide a premium and nutritious pet food. They believe food is about comfort, love and appreciation and they show this in numerous ways. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of their pet food goes to the Humpty Dumpty Institution to help support organizations that feed and care for animals in shelters. The royalties from their new books, Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Very Good, Very Bad Cat (there's one about dogs, too) will go to the American Humane Association. They feature shelter pets from a local shelter and ones that have recently found their forever homes (stories about these pets can be found on the back of the packages). They are the official dog food sponsor for the American Humane Association's Hero Dog Awards, as well as a sponsor of the Therapy Dog category.
Chicken Soup for the Soul is sponsoring a special contest for humans to share stories about their pet heroes to win a chance to be on TV or to have their story printed in one of their books. You can submit a video or share your story at the Hero Pet Contest webpage. To find out more about Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food, you can visit them on through social media at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
