Brulee demonstrating the Drinkwell® Sedona Fountain |
We think most of our readers know how much we love our fountains! We currently have three different fountains around the house. We know how important it is for kitties and woofies to stay hydrated and fountains provide clean and filtered water that encourages us to drink. PetSafe® recently sent us the new Drinkwell® Sedona Fountain - Lake Breeze to try out.

Truffle steps into the Sedona Fountain to assist Mom Paula with putting the parts together |
The Sedona Fountain is very easy to assemble. The photo above shows the tower, bowl, filter housing, foam filter, carbon filter, rubber cap, pump and adapter. Truffle thought the bowl was a new and contemporary box to get in and was a little disappointed when Mom Paula removed her in order to put the fountain together. The fountain was very easy to put together in less than 30 minutes, which includes putting the pieces where they belong, rinsing the carbon filter, and filling the bowl with water.

Brulee has plenty of room to drink from the large and wide bowl |
Most of our fountains have running streams to drink from. Truffle loves to drink from the stream, but Brulee has a little more difficulty because of her flat face. Many times, the tower and stream get in her way or get her head/face wet when she's trying to drink from the bowl. The bowl has a 100 oz. water capacity, which makes it ideal for large or multiple pets. The clear bowl design (wide on the long sides and a little taller on the ends) helps to minimize spills and splashes and the drinking area is perfect for pets with large or flat faces. You can see in the photo above the Brulee's flat little face can easily drink from the bowl without getting water all over her head and face.

Truffle trying to figure out the new fountain from a high perch |
It's amazing how quiet the falling water is as it flows from the top of the tower. It isn't a stream like our other fountains and there's little to no splash. This will help an apprehensive pet be more open to approaching the fountain and drinking from it. The fountain provides a dual filtration of a activated carbon filter that removes bad tastes and odors and a foam filter that captures hair and debris.
The features of the Drinkwell Sedona Fountain are
- Large drinking area to accomodate pets with large or flat faces
- Sound of falling water is whisper-quiet
- Featured on DIY Blog Cabin Mountainside 2015
- Low-voltage, 12V system with submersible pump for safe operation
- Great for all size pets and multiple pet households
- Replaceable activated carbon filter and foam filter
- 100 oz. water capacity
- Dishwasher safe, top rack only
- Ceramic tower and impact-resistant plastic bowl
- For indoor use only
