We've told you stories about how Brulee has been a little hesitant eating her wet food around Truffle. We did try some of the whisker stress free bowls (Trendy Pet Whisker Free Pet Bowl and Dr. Catsby's Bowl for Whisker Relief) and were amazed and pleased at how much more Brulee felt comfortable enough to eat from the bowls where her whiskers weren't stressed and she could see Truffle coming.

Notice how Brulee is eating on the kitchen floor with her Trendy Pet bowl and on the carpet for her Dr. Catsy bowl. |
Mom Paula still keeps our bowls about two feet apart and watches the first few minutes while we are eating to make sure Brulee is able to eat all she wanted before being bothered by Truffle. Truffle isn't mean in any way, but when she wants food, she tends to push Brulee out of the way. A few months ago when Mom Paula put the food on the normal place at the edge of the kitchen floor, Brulee walked past the food and went directly under the dining chair and just looked at Mom Paula. No matter what Mom Paula did, Brulee wouldn't come to the kitchen floor to eat. Well, you guessed it, Mom Paula took the food to Brulee and Brulee began eating. Brulee doesn't do this all the time, but Mom Paula knows if she wants Brulee to eat the wet food, she will put the food bowl where Brulee wants it. This past weekend, Brulee decided it was time to eat under the dining room chair again.

Brulee eating in her preferred location out of her Dr. Catsby's bowl. |
The photo above is Brulee eating out of her Dr. Catsby™ Bowl for Whisker Relief and Saturday night, Brulee ate out of her Trendy Pet dish. We really do like both of these bowls and encourage everyone to try them out. Mom Paula was able to talk with the representatives from Dr. Catsby at the Global Pet Expo and asked if they had considered putting the bowl on a pedestal to make it a little easier to eat from. They said they are thinking about it. Mom Paula met the people from Trendy Pet where she saw the Whisker Free Stress Elevated Bowls at BlogPaws last year and was impressed with the plates on a pedestal. Brulee is a pampered little kitty and she has Mom Paula wrapped around her little paws! We don't know what gets into Brulee that makes her want to eat in this location, but whatever works is what Mom Paula is willing to do. We think Brulee is channeling Sweet Praline's Diva lately. Can you blame her for wanting to eat under these beautiful chairs?
Ha-ha, Brulee, you really do have your human wrapped around your little dewclaw!
ReplyDeleteOur eating environment has to be purrfect!!
ReplyDeleteWow - you've got your Mom right under your paw Brulee!
ReplyDeleteYou always get what you want, Brulee! As it should be.
ReplyDeleteWe all just crowd around and push each other out of the way...
ReplyDeleteYou trained your mom very well Brulee ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWell done, Brulee. Having things brought to you just as royalty like you should!
ReplyDeleteMum just puts my dish on top of another bowl, that gets it to the best height for me to eat.
ReplyDeleteThat Trendy Pet bowl is super cute! Only the best for Brulee!
ReplyDeleteThat Trendy Pet feeder looks great!
ReplyDeleteThose bows look good, we have to feed sparky up high or else the dogs eat his food.
ReplyDeleteBrulee you have your Mom well trained :)
ReplyDeleteCallie the Cat loves the Trendy Cat bowl! :)
ReplyDeleteI did not know about whisker stress free bowls - I'll share with my cat friends!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found a feeding routine that works for everyone!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! She has you trained well! She wanted a change of pace maybe like we like going out to eat. This is her place LOL!
ReplyDeleteHa! We know who is actually in charge ;-) Love the look of that Trendy Pet bowl!
ReplyDeleteI never knew that kitties were so whisker sensitive when eating! I'm glad things are working out now - that's so important to provide a nice, calm, safe place to enjoy meal time.
ReplyDeleteBrulee just might be the kind of cat who knows what each room is for and so the dining room is the perfect option for her meals. I feed my cat in his own sunroom so he can eat in peace. Theo our Puggle eats in the mudroom with a slow feeder so the other two dogs can finish their food before he barges over and tries to eat it.
ReplyDeleteKilo the Pug wants the royal treatment. Beautiful bowls and photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the feeder in that first photo. So nice!
ReplyDeleteSo fancye! Nom Nom! heheh
ReplyDeleteI recognize that Dr. Catsby bowl, as I was at the press conference at Global. Cute pics here, too.
ReplyDeleteWhen we have visitors, we feed everyone in separate crates so there's no squabbling over food.
ReplyDeleteBrulee I need to take a lesson from you! ~Shasta
ReplyDeleteIs there a difference between Brulee eating the wet vs. dry food with Truffle around? Very interesting!

Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
I am glad Brûlée is eating stress free now! My cat used to want me to sit with him when he ate. If I walked away he wouldn't eat all his food. I think he was afraid of the dogs coming to chase him away and steal his meal!
