We definitely live in the South where people can shoot off fireworks in our neighborhood. When Truffle was a kitten, she used to sit at the window and watch the fireworks all night long. In fact, both Brulee and Truffle sit in front of the window for hours on their first New Year's Eve with me. For some reason, about a year ago, Truffle began to get spooked with loud noises. She can usually be found under the bed now when there are fireworks or loud cracks of thunder. Last night, people began shooting fireworks and Truffle started getting restless again. This time, she climbed into her Sleepypod® Mobile Pet Bed where she felt more comfortable. We've already shared the details about the Sleepypod Mobile Pet Bed in a previous post and wanted to show you that it's used all the time at home.

I really want one of those! And I'm also glad that we don't have fireworks out here on Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteIt is good that Truffle finds the Sleepypod a refuge and a comfy place :)
ReplyDeletePurrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
It looks cosy in that sleeping place.
ReplyDeletePeople can be so thoughtless when they let noisy fireworks off.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to have a safe place. And how nice it is that your sleepy pod is that place! Now if only it did not take you to the vet...
ReplyDeleteMiss Truffle , Me think you really make a smart move =^x< =
ReplyDeleteSafe First !
Fireworks are loud, I can see why you want to hide.
ReplyDeleteThe Pink SleepyPod is Purrfect! We love ours.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Truffle finds comfort in her Sleepypod.
ReplyDeleteMe's glad you had some place safe to go to. Dat looks like it would make a great hide away.

We have been wanting one of those! I think it's time to sneak the credit card and order one.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get fireworks close by, but Eric used to like to sit in the window and watch them across the river. The Sleepypod looks a good place to hide from them.
ReplyDeleteThat Sleepypod looks cozy, glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a safe haven, Truffle.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something my Emily could use...she is spooked by loud noises, too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have a safe spot, Truffle
Perfect hiding space - cozy and comfortable! I would love one of these for my little chihuahua!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bed for a beautiful cat! And Karma doesn't like the thunder these days, either.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Truffle was able to find comfort in her Sleepypod, and get away from the noises of the fireworks. I bet she will like it in there if you get thunder storms as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's really great that Truffle likes it! I am hoping to eventually get a cat. I will have to remember these if I do! My older husky is cat friendly. I would have to test Echo though and let him meet the new cat before bringing one into the house.
ReplyDeleteWe love ours too - it is often used as a bed around here! Glad the girls have a safe and comfy spot to go to when they're feeling scared :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy she found a safe haven, Layla hates them too
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have a safe zone to retreat to! I'm glad you have the sleepy pod to use when the kitties need a refuge!
ReplyDeleteIts so cute that she loves her Sleepypod so much, my old kitty loved sleeping in boxes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for kitties!! I'll have to share this concept with my daughter for use with her kitty! I think it must be a lot like a secure/safe place which a crate provides for doggers.
ReplyDeleteNow THIS is reassuring to see and to know. A Sleepypod is a safe haven for a nervous cat!
ReplyDeleteI have read so many wonderful things about Sleepypod over the years. I will let all my cat parent friends know about it when they ask, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is great that the sleepypod is a place where she feels secure! That will definitely cut down on the stress when she's traveling!
ReplyDeleteIt's great she likes the Sleepypod so much! Mr. N will go in and sleep in his too.
ReplyDeleteThey look and sound so good- how great for her she feels safe and comfy in it. I really want one for Kilo the Pug - I have to take him to see if he will fit as he is just on the size limit.
