Presenting the Sleepypod® Air |
We can finally share the secret we've been keeping for the past few weeks. We are proud to present the Sleepypod® Air to our readers. We know many of you are familiar with the Sleepypod® products because of their attention to safety in all of their harnesses and carriers. Every Sleepypod carrier and harness includes the Pet Passenger Restraint System (PPRS) components and features to improve pet passenger safety. You can see the Sleepypod Air Crash Test on YouTube.

Brulee thinks the Sleepypod Air is both beautiful and safe |
The Sleepypod Air not only meets Sleepypod's strict safety standards and high quality materials and color selection, but is offers an innovative solution to the numerous conflicting airline size restrictions put on pet carriers by providing size versatility through flexibility. The unique design of the Sleepypod Air allows it to contract in size to fit below most airline seats during takeoff and landing when pets must be under the seats. The Sleepypod Air can be expanded to allow your pet the largest possible space below an airline seat. Watch the video from Sleepypod see how the Air is assembled, adjusted for flexibility, set up in a car for safety, and general information.

We haven't traveled in a plane before, but the Sleepypod Air is also designed to safely carry us to the vet (when needed) in the car. We're scheduled to visit the vet in a couple of months and we're sure the vet will like that the entire cover can be unzipped to allow easier access to us. Truffle tends to get pretty nervous in the car and at the vet. Unfortunately, Mom Paula needed to turn our traditional carriers upside down in order to get Truffle out. Truffle also likes enclosed places to feel more secure. She can easily see outside the top end end, but others can't easily see her, so she feels safe.

Key features of the Sleepypod® Air |
As soon as Mom Paula put the Sleepypod Air together, Truffle immediately went inside. Mom Paula was able to zip her up with little problem. We do recommend that if you have a cat who is difficult to put in a carrier that you have the Air already zipped except for the end to make it easier. If your cat (or dog) wears a collar or harness, there is a latch you can connect to the Air to help if she tries to escape when the carrier is unzipped at the airport or the vet.

Truffle is comfortable in her Sleepypod® Air |
The Sleepypod Air comes in 6 different colors to satisfy anyone's taste. We received the Glacier Silver from Sleepypod because we thought the silver and black would match our silver fur wonderfully. We love the limited edition Robin Egg Blue, but don't know how long it will be available. Whatever color you choose, you'll be satisfied with the style, color, safety, flexibility, and convenience of the Sleepypod Air.

we have a fold up cage but Robin would travel so much more comfortable and stylish in a Robin Egg Blue sleepypod
ReplyDeleteWe've heard a lot of great things about Sleepypod but we have yet to try them! I'd really love to get my hands on one!
ReplyDeleteI've traveled with Wynston on an airplane but only in the car with my cats! I love the robin egg blue :)
DeleteThats a great looking carrier,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing! While I don't have a cat, I do have a little chihuahua that I would love to have one for!
ReplyDeleteI thought that was a Sleepypod Air when you shared a peek the other day! I have the Atom, because I am a little cat, and it is awesome! I've flown in it more times than I can count!*
ReplyDelete*Being a kitty, counting is not really my forté.
I do travel with my cats. I would get the orange.
ReplyDeleteWow, the Sleepypod Air sounds amazing. We have never traveled with our cats, but this looks perfect for trips to the vet - we have one very challenging cat who doesn't like traditional carriers. Also, good to know that it is safe for dogs up to 15 pounds - Ruby is 14 pounds.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Bear doesn't travel with me, but we are looking at new carriers for when he needs to be transported somewhere. This looks perfect and so much easier to manage than our old hard-side carrier (Bear is especially talented at NOT going in at home or not coming out at the vet). We'd love the Glacier silver.
ReplyDeleteOh, I knew it was a Sleepypod! I am so glad you got one and can travel in safety!
ReplyDeleteWe don't travel much...only to the vet...but this SleepyPod would make a great carrier for us. We would like the red one or the black one.
ReplyDeleteThey have really thought of everything!
ReplyDeleteThe Sleepypod looks so much more comfortable than our hard plastic carriers! And airier! Mom likes red best.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome pawsome to get a new fancy carrier! We love it!
ReplyDeleteMy cat hates carriers and she shreds mesh ones very easily. I'm wondering how easily this one would shred. When I first got her from the SPCA (17 years ago), the sold me 'a good quality soft carrier.' On the way home, I noticed a cat climbing around in the backseat of the car - she had torn it open before we got home. In the garbage it went.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a really awesome and comfy carrier!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the blue.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and the review. Sleepy pod sounds like it really comes in handy for travel and super safe too!
ReplyDeleteI travel with my cat in a hard carrier, and I think she'd prefer this one. I'd choose the teal color so it's easily visible.
ReplyDeleteWow-wee! This looks like such a great carrier! I've never taken the cats on a plane (and hope to never have to). As for car rides, it's just to the vet and back. I like the Glacier Silver.
ReplyDeleteThis would be perfect for flying with a small pet. I have heard wonderful things about Sleepypods.
ReplyDeleteOh MeoW dat looks pawsum. Fanks fur sharin'. Paws crossed we win. We luv dat dark chocolate.
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
Dezi
Tashi would look great in that, and he needs that for the to-and-fro to the vet and his specialist :) Sleepypod's the best! Thanks for your review!
ReplyDeleteWe usually travel in da car in a carrier. We'd pick da robin's egg blue one.
ReplyDeleteWe usually travel by car. I'd choose Strawberry Red.
ReplyDeleteThese look pretty awesome. Of course, none of our guys would fit in such thing :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice giveaway. The Robin's egg color is nice and so is the Glacier silver.
ReplyDeleteThis Sleepypod looks fabulous. We don't use our round one as a PTU as it is a bit cumbersome for our mom to carry with her mobility problems. This new Air model looks purrfect for vet trips. Our other Sleepypod is Robin's Egg Blue so we would love to win that. The red would be our second choice. We have our paws crossed we win. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteMr. N has been on a lot of different forms of transit (bus, plane, car, trolley, boat etc). I like the robin's egg.
ReplyDeleteWe've been wanting to get one of these! We have a regular Sleepypod, but since we can't fly with it and Mom hopes that Sophie will one day be able to fly to Blogpaws with her, we need an Air too! We would like the Strawberry Red, or black as a second choice.
ReplyDeleteOH can I enter and pretend I am in the USA while I am BlogPaws * giggle * This is one HECK of a great transport and perfect for cats (and small dogs eh?). Good luck to the happy Sleepypod winner!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't really traveled with our cats, but want to. My daughter has a cat and she really wants to take him with her when she visits her boyfriend (he has two cats and they want to see how they get along). This would be a safe way to take him with her. I'd pick the Strawberry red if I win.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific giveaway! I think the robin egg blue is my favorite, but the silver is quite pretty too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! Thank you for hosting it. When we travel with our pets, our Huskies have seat belts or crates. Binx, we have a hard shell carrier, but he'd love one of these fab pods! The silver is sweet!
ReplyDeleteIf I travel ever with the doxies I will clearly be getting a Sleepy Pod for Bruisy. I'm even thinking we use in the car rather than a crate for little Bruisy.
ReplyDeleteGlacier silver and am thinking of going away in the summer and it would help so much when I take her on the bus or train :)
ReplyDeleteWe do a lot of traveling to the vet in the car! If we win, we'd love a Robin Egg Blue carrier. We hope we win - we have been wanting a Sleepypod for a long time!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great giveaway! We have one of these that lives in the trunk of the head peep's car because of how neatly it folds up. Good luck to everyone who enters. Whoever wins this is really going to love it.
ReplyDeleteWe think the Sleepypods are just pawsome!!! We love the orange dream!
ReplyDeleteThe Sleepypod is so much better than a the hard crate that I use to travel with for Max.
ReplyDeleteI use the standard hard plastic carrier. I would like Srawberry red.
ReplyDeleteI travel with mine in pet taxis. I'd like a silver sleepypod.
ReplyDeleteUsually a pet carrier I like the Red
ReplyDeleteI would choose black, two of my cats have dark hair, i use the hard case which is heavy and hard to get through doors i have always wanted a softer one, this one is nice!
ReplyDeleteI currently use a plastic carrier. It's not airline approved or as comfortable as the Sleepypod Air so this would be pawsome to have! :) I love the Glacier Silver color the most.
ReplyDeleteI like the robin egg blue color. Kitties are hard to travel with especially since if they're getting in a car they think they are going to the vet.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! Very small Boston terrier Sinead has gone on a plane once, and she's heading back to a plane this month. I'm sure she'd love this in Glacier Silver or Red!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
Would love one of these! Aside from looking great, they've gone through so much testing and I would know my ladies were safe in the car!
ReplyDeleteThey are going to have to start making these for 50lb + dogs...of course they'd have to be on wheels with an optional valet to assist me ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that Sleepypod sure is cool! If we won, we would choose the red, or the robin's egg blue. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to travel with Matilda in this, the mesh windows would really reassure her when we travel by plane, especially robin egg blue!
ReplyDeleteManna would absolutely love this! I think she would like the Robin's Egg Blue. It would be so nice to have a crash tested carrier for her.
ReplyDelete-Purrs from your friends at www.PlayfulKitty.net
This would be so wonderful to have for our kitty that needs to travel a lot!
ReplyDeleteOur present carrier is awkward to carry getting in and out of the car. This one looks like a great improvement! I like the red one. Thanks for having the give away.
ReplyDeleteMaggie
I know a few kitties who would really enjoy this. I will enter and if I win, I will be giving it to our kitty friends!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome, like the blue
ReplyDeleteThat sure does look like something every kitty should have.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the silver color! I love how safe this carrier is and how it is made for the car or plane.
ReplyDeleteSassoon would love this - he likes his other carrier, but it would be nice to have a more 'black out' one!
ReplyDeleteWe use a hard kennel as a travel case but this looks a lot nice. I'd pick the robin egg blue color.
ReplyDeleteI have not tried them but would probably go with the robin's egg blue
ReplyDeleteI've never taken my Meow on a plane but she would look great travelling by car in Glacier Silver!
