Truffle eating the Tiki Cat® Aloha Friends |
Disclosure:
As members of the Chewy.com Blogger Outreach Program, we received a case of Tiki Cat® Brand Cat Food Aloha Friends for free in exchange for our fair
and honest review. Chewy.com is not

of interest to our readers.
Mom Paula has always dreamed of going to Hawaii. Everyone in her family has gone except her and she says it is on her bucket list once she retires. We don't know what Hawaii is, but we were happy to receive a case of Tiki Cat® Brand Cat Food Aloha Friends to try this past month from Chewy.com. We've had Tiki Cat products in the past and always liked them. The first ingredient in the new Aloha Friends is fresh tuna.
The Tiki Cat Aloha Friends is available in five different flavors combined with fresh tuna.
- Tuna with Shrimp & Pumpkin
- Tuna with Calamari & Pumpkin
- Tuna with Ocean Whitefish & Pumpkin
- Tuna with Pumpkin
- Tuna with Tilapia & Pumpkin

Truffle thinks the food tastes delicious |
We wish we could show you photos of Brulee eating this food because she had "tuna stain" all over her cute little white mouth when she first began eating it. She chose to eat her food under the kitchen chair behind one of Mom Paula's sweaters during the photo shoot. Even though Brulee had "tuna face" she didn't eat too much of this food (everyone knows she is a little finicky). Truffle ate about half of the food and then walked away. We don't know if it was because of the shrimp or the pumpkin in this particular variety, but we didn't clean our plates. We're definitely going to give it another try. Both of us have begun eating a little bit, walking away, and then coming back for more. Mom Paula plans on donating any remaining pouches to a local shelter or to her nephews who have cats.
The Tiki Cat Aloha Friends come in pouches (case of 12) or cans (case of 12). Chewy.com also offers a variety pack so you can try the different flavors. They are both currently priced at $10.16 per case. Chewy.com also offers 20% discount if you set up your first Autoship. If you combine this with other cat supplies that total $49+, Chewy.com offers free 1-2 day shipping. The customer service is excellent and we always enjoy the box!
That's too bad you two weren't that enthused about the food.
ReplyDeleteWe're surprised you weren't more enthusiastic about that. We are crazy for tuna but only Pierre gets it, and that is when he won't eat anything else.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't seem to be enjoying that food ladies.
ReplyDeleteSorry it wasn't a big hit. Nice review though.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing, too bad it wasn't that great. You have a lovely blog and your header is stunning. :)
ReplyDeletewe don't get fishie at all. Now we are only eating raw chik-hen and sometimes raw turk-ee so we don't do foodable promos. Brulee, do you think TKS and I are missing out or what? just sayin'...
ReplyDeleteSometimes a new food just isn't for you.
ReplyDeleteNice review ! We're cats, after all, we cannot love every food. Purrs
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you gave it a try and we want to see the tuna mouth!
ReplyDeleteWe usually like Tiki Cat though we don't get it very much because it always is so much fish. Sorry this one didn't suit your fancy.
ReplyDeleteOur pups have always liked Tiki, but yup - they like certain varieties more than others! We hope your momma gets to Hawaii soon - she needs to soak it all in!
ReplyDeleteOooh, one day your mommy might take you with her to Hawaii! I haven't been there either! I've read so many nice things about Chewy, but you can't get them in Belgium!!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about flavor and what they like! I hope your Mom makes it to Hawaii!
ReplyDeleteI just bought this for a cat I'm sitting. The person who left her with me left ... well, some 'cheaper' wet food for her. Not only was it not up to my standards, it made her poop stink. Switched her to this (in addition to dry) and problem solved.
ReplyDeleteLooks like these were a big hit for the most part! Love the pictures too! I don't have a cat but I always enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really good! Now Tut wants HIS little taste of Hawaii - BOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat! Chewy.com and Tiki fans here too.
ReplyDelete"Tuna face" - that's a new one! Would've been cute to see!
ReplyDeleteThis does look tasty I hope we get it in NZ I can see our buddy Dusty really enjoying this!! He IS a fussy eater but we ove him!
ReplyDeleteI do love Hawaii and would really like to go back in the winter. I don't love the smell of tuna but I do love tuna and mayonnaise sandwiches for lunch weirdly- Kilo had some tuna leftover with his kibble tonight as he loves it. I think he'd actually enjoy that food LOL.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate the honest review. Thank you for that! We haven't tried Tiki pet foods yet so we will have to give the canine versions a try. I would have loved to see a picture of your "tuna face" ;-)
ReplyDeleteMmmm... Tuna, Mmmm.... Pumpkin! Mom almost got this for us to try from Chewy this month but she went with another sample instead. We're pretty picky eaters too (well, two of us are), so we may have been grazing like you too. Head bunts to you! <3
ReplyDeleteGreat review and am sorry they were not happy with the food
ReplyDeleteSometimes a person or a pet needs to try a new food a few times before they can appreciate it. However, I think it is great if you donate the food to cats who will enjoy it more.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so yummy! Callie the Cat has never had wet food before but maybe we should let her try some! :)
ReplyDeleteWe love pumpkin in this house and this sounds like something our Binx would really like. Thanks for the great review!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs love tuna & pumpkin too! We didn't know cats like pumpkin as well. So sweet of you to donate some of the food to a shelter!
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
We love pumpkin here and it keeps our hairballs in check. Sorry you weren't so keen on the food, but it's lady-like not to finish everything on your plate I hear.
