Goodness From The Earth®

We received some new grain-free canned cat food from Chewy.com to taste and give our honest opinion.  We'd never heard of Whole Earth Farms™ before, but we liked the description and the variety of flavors offered, so we were willing to give it a try.
Truffle can't understand why it takes Mom Paula so long to open the cans

Whole Earth Farms boasts that they make a wholesome line of naturally nutritious cat food "that offers all the goodness from the earth at a great value."  The canned food is grain-free and cooked in the United States.  The first ingredient is a always a quality protein.  There is no corn, wheat, soy, by-products, artificial colors or preservatives or ingredients from China.  What it does have is great taste.

Truffle eating the Whole Earth Farms™ real duck recipe

There are 8 different flavors of the Whole Earth Farms canned cat food:  Real Duck Pate, Morsels in Gravy Chicken, Real Turkey Pate, Real Chicken Pate, Real Beef Pate, Morsels in Gravy Salmon Recipe, Real Salmon Pate, and Real Tuna & Whitefish Pate.  The cans are available in both 2.75 oz and 5 oz sizes. We requested the Real Duck Pate to sample because we don't get duck in our diet too often  We were interested to see both duck and chicken as the first of three ingredients in the food.  There are other vitamins and supplements to help support easier digestion, decrease shedding, provide us with shiny coats, increase our energy, strengthen our nails, and keep our skin healthy.  Whole Earth Farms recommends 1 can (2.75 oz) per 3.5 pounds of body weight per day if this is the only thing your cats eat.  We are also fed kibble during the day, so we usually only eat 1/2 can during mealtime and we're satisfied.  You should always provide clean, fresh water.

Brulee has a little difficulty eating pate canned foods unless Mom Paula mashes it up and then fluffs it up, so she wasn't as impressed with the Whole Earth Farms canned food.  As you can see from the photos above, Truffle really liked it.  Mom Paula is thinking of mixing the pate with some of the toppers and appetizers we've received to see if Brulee would eat it.  We think most of our kitty friends would like this food and encourage you to give it a try.

You can purchase a case of the 2.75 oz cans for $18.68 and the 5 oz cans for $25.88.  Each case contains 24 cans.  If you couple this with some other items that total $49+, you can get free two-day shipping.  As always, we are impressed with the customer service from Chewy.com.

  1. We have some cans of Whole Earth Farms in our cupboard right now! My human mixes it with our raw food.

  2. We haven't seen that food around here. We think Devi would like it, as she only likes pâté foods!

  3. Bear won't eat pate either unless I "trick" him. I try to make it small chunks and add just a little bit of water to create gravy. It wouldn't work if I did this every day but on the rare occasion where I get home with the wrong can, it's good enough :)

  5. Sounds like a good food. My persian, Snowball prefers pate because she only has a few teeth left.

  6. We tried this food too. Sometimes we eat it...sometimes we don't. The mom just can't figure us out. ;)

  7. Do they have a harder time eating because of their face shape, or is it just a choice issue? I hadn't thought that Persians might have issues eating.

  20. What a cool bowl. I need to get one for my kitties so their whiskers don't hit the rim. Looks like some good eats there, too. ~Rascal and Rocco
