Trip to the Vet

Many of you saw Truffle in her Sleepypod carrier yesterday and guessed correctly that she was going to the vet.  Don't worry, it was her annual checkup.  The checkup went well and we'll share more information after we receive the results of the baseline blood work the vet did.  The vet took her to the back room to draw the blood and when she came back carrying Truffle, she said Truffle was such a good cat.  The vet said Truffle was even "making biscuits" while her blood was being drawn.
Vet assistant, Megan, and Truffle after get her blood drawn for tests

Brulee is being a little stinker.  Mom Paula takes both of us to the vet to avoid unusual smells so we won't  be hissy when the other comes back.  When we got home last night, Brulee started hissing at Truffle every time she came near.  We think it may have been the alcohol the vet used on Truffle to draw the blood.  We hope things are smoother today.

  9. That happens here too. Wally has to go, too, whenever I go to the vet...and he'll still hiss at me when we come home. But it never lasts long. Hope you girls are friends again. ~Ernie

  10. We've experienced some hissing before when one returns from the vet, but it usually doesn't last long. How cute that Truffle was making biscuits.

  11. We never bother one of us who went to the vet. Mostly sympathy and head licking... We gather that that is a bit unusual.
