We went back to one of our favorite photo editing programs, Pho.to.com, for our Caturday Art creation today. We used the kaleidoscope effect of Truffle. This is very appropriate this weekend because her world was turned crazy this week when she was rushed off to the vet with Brulee and it turned out Truffle also had a slight fever. The vet recommended Truffle take the medication, too. She's taken the same medication in the past, but when Mom Paula went to give it to her the first time, Truffle moved, and the liquid medication went to the front of Truffle's tongue where she tasted the bitterness of medication. Truffle will try to hold the medication in her mouth until Mom Paula lets her loose. The first time, Truffle had it all over herself. Mom Paula now holds Truffle until Truffle swallows it. Truffle then hides for the next hour.

That's a bummer that it's so hard to dose Truffle now. Binga gets a syringe of lactulose every day, and she is actually pretty easy! I think she thinks she's getting an extra treat, even though it doesn't taste like anything.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous effect ... especially with two beautiful kitties :)
ReplyDeleteWe think that's a very pretty effect. Chey is like this too. For about anything...AND she holds a grudge.
ReplyDeleteWe love that kaleidoscope effect for Truffle. We're sorry she has to take that yucky medicine (and sorry that Mom Paula has to give it to her). Purrs that that dosing is done soon, and she is all better.
ReplyDeleteEww, holding the med in your mouth is worse than swallowing it!! All that ICK! Poor Truffle!
ReplyDeleteWe have that problem with Ellie. If she tastes her nightly meds she drools. Mom has to be quick with the towel or we all wear it and it STAINS :(

Great art!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon :)

Well then, this art is not only fun and lovely but also very appropriate, given the week you've had. I know that getting meds is no fun, Truffle, but they'll make you better. So, don't give your mom too hard of a time please! Purrs to all of you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning piece of art.
ReplyDeleteWE all are hoping that you feel better very soon.
Cool effect, and nice artwork ! We hope you feel better soon. Purrs
ReplyDeleteGreat art. Good luck getting the rest of the meds into her, that sounds hard.
ReplyDeleteThere are 10 more days of this! MOL
DeleteI'm so glad your sweeties are feeling better. I was worried!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
Wow! That's a cool pic!
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope Brulee and Truffle are feeling better soon. Taking medicine is a real pain!
Great effects. Sending healing purz to the girls.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally cool. Truffle, Fiona says she feels your pain. She is so sick and tired of having pills and liquid medications shoved down her everyday. Mom keeps a paper towel at the ready to wipe her face after she tries, and sometimes succeeds, to spit out the liquid. ReplyDeleteI can so relate to the feeling, Truffle...Great effect of the kaleidoscope anyway ;) Healing Pawkisses to feel better soon :) <3
