Happy Halloween

It's Halloween and time for some Trick or Treat!  We don't like to wear costumes or collars, so we went to imikimi.com to put together some "scary" photos.  We always have fun with this website.

Mom Paula is a Halloween Scrooge.  She used to buy candy to give out to the neighborhood when she moved back here about 13 years ago when Sweet Praline was living with her.  To avoid Praline getting stressed with all the noise of the children and the doorbell, Mom Paula sat outside on the porch to greet everyone.  She went through 3-4 bags of candy in the first hour and had to buy more. She said she couldn't afford to do that anymore, so she either goes over to her parents to help them give out candy (not a lot of children live there anymore) or she comes home and turns out the lights and goes to the back of the house with us.  Both of us tend to get spooked with a lot of noise, so Mom Paula says she'd rather enjoy our company and we tend to get lots of treats.

Have a safe and happy Halloween.

  1. My human is a Halloween Scrooge too! She just doesn't like to hand out candy to noisy kids, it doesn't sound like fun to her.

  2. There are not a lot of houses where we are, so we don't get any scary visitors.
    Happy Halloween!

  3. I've lived here for nine years and I've never had anyone ring my doorbell on Halloween. Happy Halloween to you three beautiful ladies!

  4. We have had exactly one trick-or-treater in ten years at our house, so we don't plan on giving out candy tonight, either. If any show up unexpectedly, they might have to take a can of cat food instead of candy. Happy Halloween!

  5. These sure are purrfectly spooktacular for Halloween! This mom actually loves handing out candy on Halloween night. I always turn on some scary movies and wait for the kiddos to ring the bell. We do still have some kids in our neighborhood who come to our house on Halloween, but nowhere near what we used to. The only furbaby around here who is afraid of the trick-or-treaters is Eddy, but she's afraid of everyone but her mom, so that's not abnormal. The other furbabies are blocked from the front door with a baby gate, lest they try to join me in handing out candy.

Wishing all of you a happy Halloween!

  7. You are too cute to be in that second scary photo!!!! Don't blame you. We hate that we don't get trick or treaters because we live in a condo in an apt building, but now you made me think. Because Dakota barks his brains out every time the doorbell rings, I think I should be thankful we DON'T have anyone! lol Happy Halloween! catchatwithcarenandcody

  10. You girls both look great, but that skull really frightened us. We had oodles and oodles of trick-or-treaters tonight. Mom had Dad tried to get to the door before they could ring the bell. Thankfully, it only rang about three times. Our mom hates it as much as we do. Happy you were all safe and sound. Happy Halloween.
