Truffle and the container of earthbath® Tushy Wipes |
Mom Paula has tried everything from baby wipes to the occasional "butt bath" but nothing has really worked without a lot of HBO words and scratches. We were concerned about chemicals in various human-type wipes and both of us hate baths. What is a fastidious southern ladycat to do? The answer for us may be the earthbath® Tushy Wipes. Earthbath offers a variety of grooming wipes for cats and has recently added the Tushy Wipes.

Truffle admires the container of Tushy Wipes |
Earthbath has developed a wipe that is specifically designed to take care of the problem of dirty tushies by gently cleaning and neutralizing the odors in this delicate area. The towelettes are infused with organically certified saccharomyces ferment filtrate, which safely and effectively neutralizes odors using fermentation technology. It contains enzymes that provide for the bioconversion of a wide range of smelly substances. The wipes also contain baking soda to further enhance the odor neutralizing power and soothing aloe vera, vitamin E and chamomile. And as with all earthbath products they are blended without parabens, sulfates or artificial colors.
Paul Armstrong, founder and President of earthbath®, said "We like to think of ourselves as a producer of needs-based products. So after talking with a number of professional groomers about the problem of cleaning tushes, we then went to work to develop a product that would address these needs in a way that was both effective and totally safe for even the most sensitive behinds." This new towelette is thicker, stronger, and has a slight texture (think Cottonelle) that is designed to be effective at removing cling-ons and messes in the fur.

A clean tushy thanks to earthbath® Tushy Wipes |
One of us presented the perfect opportunity for Mom Paula to try out the earthbath® Tushy Wipes. We still didn't like her messing with our private areas, but the wipes were gentle and effective. We have a lot of fur on our back ends and even though we are pretty good at keeping clean, sometimes we just can't get to everything. The Tushy Wipes helped Mom Paula assist us in keeping our tushes clean and smelling nice. The Tushy Wipes aren't available on the earthbath website at the present time, but they expect the availability soon.

I have to confess: I needed a wipe today before my therapy cat visit! It wasn't that it was messy, just a little bit of leftover stinky. So we could totally use these.
ReplyDeleteWe just tried these for the first time recently and need to write about it. You woudl think it would be Newton's long hair needing some help, but it was Pierre. So we won't be entering, but we give paws up to these wipes.
ReplyDeleteThe product sounds Great !
ReplyDeleteI woudn't mind if my mom want to clean up for me
=^x^=
Some of us here sure need some of those!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great product for fluffy bottoms ! Claire wishes she had it when Angel Hercule and Angel Isis (Persian cats) were living with her. Good luck to our US friends ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle has very fluffy pantaloons and she gets a lot of attention, unwanted from her perspective from me on this very issue!
ReplyDeleteWe could've used these for sure when we first got Sophie and spent a couple months figuring out her tummy issues.
ReplyDeleteI love the Earthbath line. Those products saved my bacon when I had a herd of very messy little kittens earlier this summer. I couldn't have kept them clean without extra help!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
We currently use Quick Bath wipes but would love to give these a try. Besides, we love the word "tushy"!
ReplyDeleteSnowball would probably like those better than the washcloth.
ReplyDeleteLooks like good stuff. Mario is short-haired, so we never notice a problem.
ReplyDeleteOMG!
ReplyDeleteWe love the name!
Have a great weekend...
Noodle and crew
That looks like a terrific product, especially good for all the fluffy kitties.
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrrrrrrrs, Spike William
We sure could have used those last night. The orange terror in the house was oh so stinky last night. Mom could barely stand the smell. Sounds like a awesome product. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great product. I would love to try these my on Gizmo. She hates baths, and I have to give them to her quite often to keep her tushy clean
ReplyDeleteFaraday: *glares at Mommy* DON'T BE GETTIN' any ideas, okay?
ReplyDeleteOh man I have two furry butts that could use these. Haha. Aussie and a St. Bernard/Mastiff mix.
ReplyDeleteWe are having fits about Faraday's comment :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck to our USA friends, these look truly practical and useful for a host of cat owners!
Tushy wipes - I've spent a fortune on these over the years with Charlie's IBD (TMI I know...) thankfully he's much better now so I only need to use them on him rarely.
ReplyDeleteI know all too well what you're talking about! Lloyd cat is a long haired cat and occasionally has "litter box stickers" on his fluffy bottom. He's not one for having a bottom bath and using a damp paper towel doesn't always do the trick. I will have to see if I can find these wipes here in Canada
ReplyDeleteDefinitely would have come in handy for a couple of longer haired cats I used to have. Being followed around the house with a wet towel never really appealed to them!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! These sound absolutely amazing and great for in the car. We used to do the 'butt baths' in Ivi's fluff since she seems to have issues back there during certain times of the year before blowing coat. That was never a fun experience. I am going to have to try these on her, especially when we are traveling! Out of curiosity, are they scented?
ReplyDeleteNo scent that I can detect
DeleteWhat a great idea for pets! I've seen similar products before *but not CAT SAFE* so this is terrific.
ReplyDeleteI just got these too. My post appears on Friday on www.dogtrotting.net. I had a very different experience but now won't travel without pet safe wipes.
ReplyDeleteWe love Earth Bath and their wipes are essential in our house!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute brand name. Oh, those kitty bottoms can get messy at times. Glad to know there is a product for our kitty friends.
ReplyDeleteLove their products and I carry wet ones with me for emergencies but these sound even better
ReplyDeleteRuby could definitely use some of these! Rosie is quite good about herself clean, but not so much with Miss Ruby!
ReplyDeleteNelly's paws get dirty pretty easily, these might help spot clean her feet.
ReplyDeleteI could see this being really useful on our trips! We use human ones but I wonder ....
ReplyDeleteThis definitely sounds like a great product for tushes! I'd be afraid to use human grade cleansers on pets, they could lick something hazardous! I love that these are natural wipes!
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Love the sound of these. Kilo had a "daggy" butt for the first time the other day as we had been trying new treats and food (Aussie expression for sheep that have poop hanging around). I used paper towel.
ReplyDeleteWe love Earthbath!! Believe it or not - our pups' long hair requires that we do special care to their tushies too! Sometimes things stick there that we weren't really expecting.... we've used these wipes and were greatly impressed!
ReplyDeleteOoooo....these sound great! With a wooly Siberian Husky with a very furry derrière, these would be very useful on occasion!
ReplyDeleteI use a baby wipe every time the dog goes potty. I kid you not. And I am proud to do so. This is a great line. I'd love to win.
ReplyDeleteI think we could use some tushy wipes for the dogs after the park! They seem fairly versatile so I'll give these a try with the dogs!
ReplyDeleteMr. N gets a lot of mini-baths. I wonder if these would cut down on those.
ReplyDeleteEarthBath is such a good company. I particularly like their "instructions" on the shampoo they make!
ReplyDeleteI just use a wet baby wash cloth.

As a groomer i only know too well what a boon this product can be for people that are parents to cats with hairy tushies. Looks like a lovely product and a must have to clean those unsightly messes without doing a full bath
