Truffle inside Cat Cave while Brulee waits for her to leave |
We've never been kitties who like cat beds designed for us. We've always preferred Mom Paula's bed, the cool tile bathroom floor, or our cat trees. When Mom Paula visited Global Pet Expo last year, she met some really nice people from Walking Palm who make Cat Caves made out of merino wool that are individually made by hand. We like feeling that we have a one-of-a-kind item designed for our comfort and enjoyment.

Brulee models the outside of the pink/gray Cat Cave |
The Cat Caves from Walking Palm provide a comfortable sleeping pod and playing burrow for cats up to 16 pounds. When the representatives from Walking Palm suggested we'd like the Cat Cave, Mom Paula was hesitant, knowing our history with other cat beds. Walking Palm agreed to send us one to review. We had a lot happening this summer with both of us getting sick, our 5th blogoversary giveaways, and Mom Paula's dad being ill, so we didn't have the opportunity to check out the Cat Cave until this week. To be totally honest, Mom Paula didn't expect us to use it, so she kept the tag on the cave so she could donate it to another kitty who would use it. We surprised her!

Brulee inside the Walking Palm Cat Cave |
Mom Paula put the Cat Cave on the floor in the hallway and went back to her office to get the camera. She was hoping we'd at least get near the cave so she could get some photos. She was very surprised when she walked back in the hallway and Truffle was nestled inside the cat cave. Brulee was outside of the cat cave waiting for Truffle to get out so she could get inside. Mom Paula moved the Cat Cave to the living room where we like to hang out. Mom Paula was searching for Truffle last night and found her inside the Cat Cave snoozing. When Mom Paula came home from work, the cave was flattened, so we also like to rest on top of it.

ReplyDeleteThey look really comfortable and warm. Of course I won't get one because someone in the household thinks I have too many beds. Although I do use ALL OF THEM.

Great review. That does look like a pawsome place to hide out. M said she'll have to seriously think about getting one for me.
ReplyDeleteThose caves look great for winter.
ReplyDeleteKirby loves to sleep under the covers. If Mom is napping on the couch under a blanket or sheet, he will crawl in with her. After awhile, Max always has to come check on him
ReplyDeleteI had two immediate thoughts 1 I want one to come in adult size so I can tuck away in my own cave! 2 I can make one! I am a fiber artist and I wet felt (which is what the process for making these). It takes a lot of hard work and these caves look amazingly well made! They look amazing! You can sprinkle some essential oils on them like lavender to have a calming effect for the cats.
ReplyDeleteCool! I was surprised how quickly the girls took to the cave.
DeleteMy cats love to snuggle on our beds. When the cool weather starts you can be sure to find one of them under the covers so if we see a lump under the blankets we know to be careful! I'm thinking one of my cats would enjoy this bed and the idea of "hiding" in it.
ReplyDeleteWe adore this bed... and not just because it's felted merino wool! :) It looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've seen these beds at cat shows and they look like something that I want to snuggle up inside myself! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe really sound amazing! I am sure Rosie would love it - heck, if they made one for humans, I would like it too!
ReplyDeleteOur cats love their felted cave too, in fact they often fight over whose turn it is!
ReplyDeleteI would never see my cats again :P
ReplyDeleteOh my these are fantastic!!!! I could see a small dog loving these too!
ReplyDeleteMr. N has similar preferences. I wonder if he would like it too.
ReplyDeleteThat cat cave looks so cute. I see from other posts, that your kitties are really still loving this bed. So fun.
ReplyDeleteThis looks AH-mazing! I'm going to check it out for our adopted feral kitty, I think Binx would love this in his house!
ReplyDeleteOur cats never went in our caves. Oh well. Thanks for your for good thoughts about the fires. We are out of danger but the smoke is still in the air from other fires. Been a crazy few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThe cat cave looks super cool. Nala would have loved it and I think Kilo might even curl up in it.
ReplyDeleteHaha those look awesome! My cat loves to hide in his cubby on his cat tree so I am certain he would love this!
ReplyDeleteI just love that bed, it looks so comfy and toasty
