Brulee checks out the Sherpa® Cat Tote while Truffle cautiously watches |
Mom Paula is pretty lucky that we don't fight her when it's time to go into the carrier. Sweet Praline was a holy terror when it came time for the carrier. Truffle has worked open the velcro and climbed out into the car when traveling in a previous carrier. Brulee is pretty much happy whichever carrier she's in. The Sherpa™ Cat Tote is made with finely woven mesh panels and no interior lining that your cat(s) may destroy with their sharp claws and teeth. This carrier is specifically designed for cats, but it would also work for dogs who may have the tendency to chew and scratch at their carriers. The carrier is medium in size (17" long x 9" wide x 12" high and is appropriate for pets up to 12 pounds. The carrier is available in black or leopard print.

Truffle presents the Guaranteed on Board® Program of the Sherpa™ Cat Tote |
We haven't traveled on a plane yet, but we've heard horror stories of people getting to the airport and their carriers not being allowed on the plane. Did you know that Sherpa carriers were the first soft-sided pet carriers to be endorsed by major airlines? Sherpa™ carriers were designed by Gayle Martz, who was a flight attendant, who wanted to change long-standing policies that prohibited pets from traveling comfortably in-cabin. Gayle worked with each airline to advocate for pet parents and as a result, Sherpa has partnerships with major airlines. Sherpa's proprietary Guarantee On Board® promises air travelers they will never be denied in-cabin admittance due to the pet carrier. If someone arrives at the airport with an approved carrier for the specific airline and is denied admittance because of the carrier, the price of the airfare and pet travel fees are refunded. There are several approved carriers, but you need to make sure you have the appropriate carrier for the airline you are traveling on. The Sherpa Cat Tote is approved for American Airlines, United, and Air Canada. This would definitely be a reassuring thought for our friends who travel using the airlines. Guaranteed on Board® is only available on U.S. domestic flights, Canadian domestic flights, and flights between the U.S. and Canada. If you are traveling on a specific airline, you can click here to find the best carrier for your preferred airline.

That carrier looks awesome! Sparkle actually had a Sherpa carrier, but she never had to travel anywhere but the vet, and a couple of times to a friend's house or cat hotel for termite work or open houses when my human was selling the old house. I actually could use a new flying carrier... and I think I've been on all three of those airlines!
ReplyDeleteOoh...I love the leopard print cat tote. It sounds really sturdy, and I like that it has pockets where you can stash papers or treats.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great carrier. We really NEED a new one too!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
That does look really nice and we like that style of carrier best!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Sherpa carrier! We have one in black. It came with Minchie when Mom adopted him. We aren't entering the giveaway so as to give someone else a better chance to win one of these great carriers.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely tote. And how could I resist the colors?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great carrier! We could travel to the vet in style with that. You girls look adorable in the pics.
ReplyDeletePlease share more like that.
ReplyDeletepets
That'd a super stylish tote! Love that it's so functional too.
ReplyDeleteI like the leopard print, sassy like our Meku ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the original delux in plum size Medium
ReplyDeleteWhat a stylish tote ! It's purrfect for you ! Good luck to our US friends who enter the giveaway ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteFashionable and sturdy! I love the Sherpa brand and used it for my own cat, Puck while he was alive. Cute photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the animal print! It looks so much nicer than a regular black carrier.
ReplyDeleteThe best endorsement a product can get is the furry customers waiting in line to use it. Looks like this one was pretty popular! I'd never guess Truffle is so tiny!
ReplyDeleteThey both weigh under 8 1/2 pounds. The silver shaded Persians tend to be smaller. Truffle and Brulee's parents are smaller than they are.
DeleteThat is pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful carrier...and the leopard...be still my heart! Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang
ReplyDeleteMy favorite has to be the Sherpa "The Original Deluxe" in Plum. I'd go with Medium, since it would fit either of my girls (and a color that I like for them). Moko is very thin right now (she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and is on medication and gaining weight, but still on the thin side). She's a little over 6 pounds. My kitten, Kotoha, will be 10 months old tomorrow. She was over 6 pounds on her last weigh-in and has definitely gained weight since then. My daughter's boy, Arata, is about 11 pounds (possibly more, since he may have gained weight). Arata already has a carrier and since he's my daughter's cat and will eventually leave with her, I am concentrating on products for my two cats and three dogs.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good-looking carrier! We like that there isn't anything inside that can be scratched or destroyed by a determined cat. Newton is often be one of those!
ReplyDeleteHello! What a wonderful thing for you to do! I'd love to win this for my two bouncy boys. It would be even better for my big love bug Toby who weighs 20 pounds and is heavy and all get out in a metal carrier. Good luck to everybody!
ReplyDeleteTheir guarantee is awesome. Mr. N is small enough (and his carrier) that I never worry but I've heard of other people with bigger dogs and carriers getting turned away at the tagte.
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard print look :) I also love the Sherpa Ultimate On Wheels Pet Carrier because I love the option of being able to wheel it or carry it.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the Sherpa brand of pet carriers. I've used them for my dog and my cat, Angel Maggie. Months ago, one of my foster dogs chewed the zipper part of the carrier and ruined the whole carrier - among other things, LOL! It's time for a new one for Phoebe, I sometimes fly with just the two of us. Icy is too big to go on the plane!
ReplyDeleteLove & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Wow. The Sherpa carriers look really nice and from what you described top quality. Only way to travel is in style! I will share your post with others for their chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI like the leopard one you have. I don't think any of the others come in leopard.
ReplyDeletemy favorites are the sherpa on wheels, b/c if you are loaded with luggage, it is much easier than trying to carry the cat as well. i also like the the element. i like the round top.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly seem to approve of this carrier! It would be a nightmare to be at the airport and told your cat carrier wasn't approved.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very good carrier! Good to know it will not be turned back at the airport. Being made specifically for cats, they've taken the major cat "issues" into account, great news!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute tote! I love the print and that it is a soft cat carrier.
ReplyDeleteYour review is spot on! I had one years ago, and one of my friends is a fellow devotee! If only human products were so well made!
ReplyDeleteYou two are lucky to have such a cute new carrier! I love the leopard print. :) It is nice that they have made it compliant with airline regulations. Getting turned away by an airline would be really frustrating! This looks like a nice way to travel for kitties.
ReplyDelete-Purrs from your friends at www.PlayfulKitty.net
We love our Sherpa carrier for Bean. It took a lot of stress away knowing that our airline had approved the dimensions and we were given a guarantee from Sherpa. I'm diggin' the pattern of this carrier! Bean's is a solid deep purple.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you had an escape artist! So glad everyone was safe!!
Oh I love this so much!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard print! It would be perfect for my stylish & sassy cat!
ReplyDeletei love the leopard one!!
ReplyDeleteI like the ultimate on wheels because sometimes the cat gets heavy.
