Brulee presents the SHERPA® Ultimate on Wheels Soft-Sided Pet Carrier |
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, the SHERPA® Ultimate on Wheels soft-sided carrier may be the answer for traveling with your pet (as long as they weigh less than 22 pounds). We shared a previous review of the SHERPA® Cat Tote and told you about the Guaranteed on Board® (GOB) program with specific airlines. Did you know that in-cabin pet policies are not regulated by the FAA, but by each individual airline. This makes it a little problematic for people traveling with their pets to get a clear answer whether their airline-approved pet carrier will fit under the seat. SHERPA has partnered with some of the airlines through the GOB program where pet parents get an actual guarantee their pet carrier will be allowed on board.
The SHERPA Ultimate on Wheels is GOB for American Airlines, United, and Air Canada. Go to the SHERPA website and click on each individual pet carrier to determine which airlines are approved with the GOB program.

Truffle inside SHERPA® Ultimate on Wheels |
The SHERPA Ultimate on Wheels is designed for pets up to 22 pounds. This carrier is loaded with designs to help make travel both in the air and on land easier for the pet parent. There is a padded, adjustable pull strap that converts to a shoulder strap. The carrier is on wheels where the front wheels rotate 360 degrees while the rear wheels are fixed for optimal control. For those kitties (like Truffle) who tend to be escape artists, there are locking zippers to keep your pets secure. There are many more features of this carrier and they can be seen in the photo below.

We don't plan on traveling on an airline anytime soon (if ever) with Mom Paula, but we like the idea of a guarantee that our carrier would be accepted by a particular airline. Mom Paula also likes that this carrier doesn't need to be carried on her shoulder since she's had two shoulder surgeries. The carrier is large enough that both of us could fit inside, but we probably wouldn't do that since Truffle gets stressed inside a carrier.

My human and I could totally use the Ultimate on Wheels. She prefers having my carrier over her shoulder, but sometimes, especially when she has two bags to check, the laptop bag and me, like she did this past weekend, it would help to have an wheeled-carrier option for me.
ReplyDeleteWe have one of these to review as well. The mom loves that it's a carrier on wheels...much easier to get us around.
ReplyDeleteMom Peggy would love to win the Ultimate on Wheels! She has a lot of issues with her back that this would help tremendously when we have to go somewhere.
ReplyDeletewe love the idea of it being on wheels....
ReplyDeleteThe Ultimate on Wheels would be helpful and an easier option to use :)
ReplyDeleteThe wheels option is very cool! But I would probably prefer the regular ol' cat tote.
ReplyDeleteWe would like the regular cat tote because we don't travel, but can always use extra carriers for trips to the vets.
ReplyDeleteI'd love the ultimate on wheels. Bear's a bigger boy (almost 15 lbs) and our current carrier is a bit too small. I like having the option for wheels too!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd have to go with the Ultimate on Wheels. I have three Treeing Walker Coonhounds and three cats (all rescues). Often I have to take more than one of them to the vet at the same time, and juggling multiple cat carries can be difficult (my dogs are large, so they walk on leashes into the vet's). Being able to pull one of the cats along while carrying another carrier would make things a whole lot easier!
ReplyDeleteWe don't travel except to the Vet and more than one of us are, well, not light. THanks for the cool giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI don't travel far, but when I do I totally dislike it. I have a hard carrier, but the soft sided original Sherpa tote looks like it would be comfier. I'm easy to carry, so I don't think I need wheels. I would love yo win any of them tho. Buckwheat.
ReplyDeleteWe use the cat tote to go to the vet, but Mom could really use the one with wheels. She's got a bad shoulder and is also on oxygen and has to carry that around too. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDelete#1 says her very first cat carrier was a Sherpa and she used it for years with TOWCB, Ikkyu, as they travelled the world together.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
I have been looking in to getting a carrier for Edie. The Sherpa brand is one that has been recommended to me by many fellow pet owners. I wish I could have entered your giveaway! But best of luck to those that enter.
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for Lexy! She's a little heavy for our Mom and it would be a big help if she could roll her. Nice review, girls.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great carrier option for cats! It looks really well made too.
ReplyDeletethe ultimate on wheels would be my choice. one of our rescues is very big and carriers are soo heavy that we have right now. Amy (Guillaume) Linderman
ReplyDeleteWe haven't taken our crew on a plane yet. This looks like a great travel carrier though. It's great that it has wheels as I normally have too many other bags!
ReplyDeleteOh golly gosh do they carry Yorkshire Terriers as well as gorgeous cats? This is now on my Christmas present list (yes I know it's only June but...) as I can see Mama J and I living the jet set lifestyle. We've just got to sort out our passports and some cool sunglasses and we are off!
ReplyDeleteOf course they would carry a cute little Yorkie!
DeleteI love that this has wheels. My cat's carrier does not and he's a big boy! I try so hard to make sure it's not tipping. This would make it much easier to transport him.
ReplyDeleteSherpa is such a great company, I had one of their cat carriers for my Maine Coon mix. We never flew together but he loved to travel by train.
ReplyDeleteThis looks and sounds like a great carrier! I love that it is GOB - I bet that alleviates a lot of the worry and stress of flying with a pet on board an airplane. That's something we've never done before, and I kind of hope it stays that way! But having something like this would make it so much easier. Thanks for the great review!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great carrier. Purrfect for the traveling kitty!
ReplyDeleteI already commented on this some place; what a great idea. Everything that can get heavy should have wheels on it :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great carrier, especially if you are traveling by plane! Although Nelly is small enough to travel by plane, I have never taken her on a plane.
ReplyDeleteHaving wheels is handy! Mr. N doesn't weigh much but he gets heavy on my shoulder after a while.
ReplyDeleteI love e Sherpa products & this new one on wheels is fantastic! I entered to Win one - paws crossed!
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
I love this product line! It's too bad my pups are so bit! I love that this is on wheels though, that's so handy!
ReplyDeleteI bought a pet carrier similar to this years ago and I loves that if fit airline guidelines and had multiple zippers for entry. The soft sided carrier make it flexible and adjustable in tight areas. Very nice HOWEVER having updated version like wheels is heaven sent!
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard print one because it is sassy!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely choose the cat tote for Bagheera. Luckily, Bowser is so small, it'd work for him too!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the ultimate carrier on wheels because it would make it allot easier to take my two cats to the Vet without caring a carrier around.
ReplyDeleteUltimate on wheels would be very covienent
ReplyDeleteThe Original Deluxe sounds like it would work well for a trip we have coming up together.
ReplyDeletei would love the Ultimate on Wheels. the wheels make it so much easier when you are carrying luggage. i think the girls would love it as well, it would be fun for them.
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the Leopard cat tote. I have two cats, but only one good carrier, so this would definitely solve a problem.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really nice carrier. What a relief it must be to frequent travelers to know that their carrier is guaranteed to be accepted on their carrier like that!
ReplyDeleteI would get the one with wheels for sure. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI think the Orginal Deluxe would best suit my little one! Thank you for the chance :)
ReplyDeleteI would choose the cat tote , with 3 cats all over 14 years old we are always going to the vet
ReplyDeleteNeed one so bad.... would love one with wheels
ReplyDeletei would pick the wheel one because it would be more convenient
ReplyDeletewould love to win the one on wheels why easy to move it around back and forth
ReplyDeleteThe one with wheels... it's easier to maneuver...
ReplyDeleteI would choose the wheeled carrier because it would make vet trips much easier.
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the ultimate on wheels for my Maha! It would be roomy to travel with and would get us from car to destination safely.
ReplyDeleteWould choose the ultimate on wheels for the convenience of not having to carry it.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome for my fur baby.. Thank you for the chance. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteThe ultimate on wheels ~ my fat mamma doesn't like to be carried and I don't like carrying her either!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the pet carrier because I need it for my little furbaby!
ReplyDeleteI love the ultimate on wheels. It would be great when I have other things to carry.
