Truffle relaxing in front of the computer during fireworks |
Thanks to Mom Paula having the televisions on in the house and giving Truffle two of the Pet Naturals® of Vermont Calming Cat Treats, Truffle did much better. The video below shows Truffle taking a nice and relaxing bath in front of the computer during some fireworks. Mom Paula turned off the TV in order to capture the video, so it was quiet in the house for a moment (some fireworks sounds in the distance). All of a sudden, there was a loud boom, which startled Truffle, but you'll notice she didn't run for cover.
Don't forget to enter our giveaway (sponsored by Chewy.com) where three of our lucky readers can win a bag of the Pet Naturals® of Vermont Calming Treats for their cat (or dog). Giveaway ends July 10. Visit our post about the treats to enter the giveaway.

So glad Truffle was able to get through the holiday so well. Mommy doesn't have calming treats, but she did give us Rescue Remedy and had a Felaway diffuser and TV going. We did pretty well this year.

We didn't know about the calming treats we hope they have some for dogs too. We will check on some for Pooh and see if she will eat them. We too hope the fireworks are all done for you all. They have not stopped here yet. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteWe are sure looking forward to a nice long stretch of quiet up this way! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI hope it stays quiet around your house!
ReplyDeleteWe hope it stays quiet, and we're glad that those calming treats were able to help you. Purrs
ReplyDeleteWonderful ! You have a good stuff to help you deal with evil fireworks =^x^=
ReplyDeleteSuch a cutie :)
ReplyDeleteWe hope the fireworks are over too. After the 4th, in our state, there was a huge outcry by many people to have fireworks banned again. There's a petition circulating trying to repeal the law that allows people to buy and shoot them off.
ReplyDeleteWe are thankful for that too! Although...you got treats?!
ReplyDeleteUgh. We're also thankful for that, though the pop-up fireworks store near us had a "buy 1, get 5 free" clearance sign, so... I'm pretty sure they might continue through this weekend until everyone runs out!
ReplyDeleteIt has been hot here so mum has the windows closed cuz the AC is on. That helps keeps the noise out. Weekend, likely to be a be noisy again.
ReplyDeleteFireworks drive us nuts. Last year, there was 12 hours of people setting off fireworks in our courtyard. It wasn't nearly as bad this year ... and luckily Ellie (our new addition) didn't notice. Even Bear took it in stride.
