Brulee loves this little scratcher box we won from Chewy.com several months ago on a Twitter Chat. The colors weren't good in the photo, so we went to LunaPic and used the Sketch 2 effect. Mom Paula says Brulee looks like the "Beast" from Beauty and the Beast in this photo.  MOL!

Welcoming Committee

Now that Mom Paula has the front porch rails fixed and the front porch cleaned off, she likes to sit outside in the morning or evening when it's cool. Last night, she got up from her rocking chair to come inside because it was getting dark and she saw this welcoming committee. Truffle and Brulee love the new storm door with the full glass.

Ahoy! 'tis International Talk Like a Pirate Day, but we be meowin' since we be cats. Lady cats like t' dress up 'n be a wee more sassy on this day in order t' guard our loot. We don't needs cutlasses 'cause we 'ave nicely groomed claws.

We love the "floating" effect in LunaPic and have used it quite frequently. Because of the yellow background in our curtains and the lighting from the window, Truffle became shades of blue and pink using the floating effect today. We hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

Grandparents Anniversary

Whew! We almost didn't make our daily post today! We wanted to step aside today to wish Grandma Faye and Grandpa a Happy 63rd Anniversary! Mom Paula spent most of the day with them to help them celebrate. We're so thankful we still have them in our lives and that they've been together so long and can still laugh with each other!

Thankful Thursday

We're so thankful we survived Irma and that our friends who were in her path are also safe.  Some had damage and still don't have power, but they have their lives.

Surviving Irma

We're happy to say that Irma is gone and we survived her wrath!

Truffle's safe place during Tropical Storm Irma

We've heard about Hurricane Irma for two weeks and were prepared for a major storm to hit the East Coast of South Carolina and move through our state.  Original projections had the eye going right over the middle of the state where we live.

Thinking of Our Friends

We continue to send our love and purrs to all of our friends in the path of Hurricane Irma. We're scheduled to get high winds, rain, and possible tornadoes today.

Truffle is cautiously taking it easy on the kitchen chair this morning. Everything is calm in SC right now with a few wind gusts. We continue to purr for all of our friends in Florida.

We are purring really hard for all of our friends in Florida and other states who are in the path of Hurricane Irma.  Luckily for us, Irma has taken a Westward turn and we won't be right in the path as predicted earlier in the week, but we will be on the East side where tornadoes and high winds can occur. Take care everyone!

I remember our attitudes about pets were so different when I was a child. Dogs and cats stayed outside, we fed them the least expensive food we could find at the grocery store along with human table scraps, and we only took them to the vet when they were sick. That was a long time ago! We are becoming more aware of the health and safety of our pets as they live indoors, eat a quality diet, and visit the veterinarian on a regular basis.
