Mom Paula rotates our protein source to keep us interested in our food and to meet our nutritional needs. We were recently introduced to rabbit as a protein source.

Thankful for Snuggles

When you see photos of Persian cats, do you ever think, "I bet they are soft and cuddly?"  We are definitely soft kitties, but we cuddle on our own terms. Truffle and Brulee aren't really lap kitties, but they always like to stay close to Mom Paula, especially now that she's retired and home more often.

Safe Haven

We shared with our readers that Brulee loves to sleep in the top perch of her tall cat tree.  Truffle can usually be found half way up. Recently, Mom Paula moved the smaller cat tree we reviewed from Chewy.com a couple of years ago into the living room while she's purging in other rooms. Truffle loves to sleep on top on this tree and sleep with her head inside the hood of the top perch.  Maybe she thinks she's safe from Brulee's claws here and can protect her eyes.

Secret Paws Matchups

We've matched up everyone for Secret Paws and Mom Paula is trying to get the emails out to everyone.  She can't figure out if Truffle is trying to supervise or if she wants Mom Paula off the computer.  Either way, it's a little difficult for Mom Paula to get any work completed today.

Two for one today for the Sunday Selfie!  Mom Paula captured this photo last night when both of the girls decided to rest on the foot rest at her feet.  A few minutes later, both were curled up beside each other, which is very unusual.

Veteran's Day

We pause today to honor all our veterans who've served to help us maintain our freedom.

We believe everyone deserves life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; but with that freedom comes responsibility. We thank all of our family members and friends who've served in the military.

We promised we'd give you an update on our vet visit from Monday and everything went pretty well (except for the incidents with the dogs).

A Scary Moment

Brulee and Truffle went to the vet yesterday.  Mom Paula wanted to check on Brulee as a follow up to her trip to the emergency hospital last week and wanted to make sure Truffle was okay because she "wasn't herself."

Brulee's 6th Gotcha Day

Six years ago today, Brulee came to live with us! She was the sibling Truffle needed since losing Beignet and the extra ball of fluff that Mom Paula needed in her life to help heal the hole in her heart Praline left.

Brulee is a beautiful little Silver Shaded Persian who is high maintenance, but worth every bit of the trouble she causes because she is a Sweetie Pie.

From Purrfect to Puny

Thursday morning we woke up and Brulee was doing great!  She climbed into our new cat bed (we will feature it in December) and let Mom Paula clean her eyes and trim her toenails.  Everything was going pretty well. Mom Paula gave us some treats, fed us, gave us some fresh water and decided to go see the opening of Thor at the movie theater.
