Caturday Art

We played around with a lot of stuff on LunaPic and PicMonkey this weekend to create our Caturday Art. We're calling it Silver and Gold. Besides the Christmas song "silver and gold" (we know you're already singing it), there is another reason for the title of this artwork.

Why is Silver and Gold a good name for this artwork?


Our Caturday Art today is titled Silver and Gold and there's a reason for this title that is appropriate for us. Even though Mom Paula uses a little help from her hair dresser now to keep those golden streaks in her hair, she's been a blonde since she was a child. One of her parents' dearest friends always called Mom Paula Goldie because of her golden locks. Unfortunately, Pap is no longer with us, but Mom Paula always remembers those words of endearment. We love how the designs from Lunapic put some silver sparkles on Mom Paula's face to show her connection to us - Silver Shaded Persians.Truffle is streaked with silver and gold specks throughout her beautiful silver and white fur. The cattery where Truffle was born was called Crystalpurrs, so Mom Paula thinks of us as her jewels. She considered giving us such names as Diamond, Platimum, Crystal, etc. in the beginning before deciding on the dessert names. Brulee's mom kitty is a Golden Shaded Persian, so the gold intermingling through their fur reminds Mom Paula of both the varieties of beautiful shaded Persians - silver and gold. 

Mom Paula says we are worth more to her than all the silver and gold in the world!
