Brulee wondering why Truffle was in this cage |
We were amazed to realize on this day in January 2012, Truffle was going to get her bloodwork done at the vet in preparation for her "lady gardenectomy" (spayed) in a few days.

Truffle was 7 months old when she was spayed. Silver Shaded Persians tend to mature a little more slowly and it was recommended that we wait until around 6 months before she was spayed. She never had a "heat" cycle and as soon as the holidays were over, Mom Paula scheduled the surgery.
World Spay Day is February 27 and we'll talk more about the importance of spaying cats then.
Funny how those memories pop up and you can't believe it was so long ago!

ReplyDeleteWhat cute photos! I was spayed at five months because it looked like I was going into early heat, and my human wanted to nip that in the bud, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! It's fun to look back at older photos. :)
