Flashback Friday

Mom Paula was looking back at our photos from January 2012 when we were kittens to see what was happening during this time.

Brulee wondering why Truffle was in this cage

We were amazed to realize on this day in January 2012, Truffle was going to get her bloodwork done at the vet in preparation for her "lady gardenectomy" (spayed) in a few days.

Truffle was 7 months old when she was spayed. Silver Shaded Persians tend to mature a little more slowly and it was recommended that we wait until around 6 months before she was spayed. She never had a "heat" cycle and as soon as the holidays were over, Mom Paula scheduled the surgery.

World Spay Day is February 27 and we'll talk more about the importance of spaying cats then.

  3. That sure is the let me out of here look sweetie!

  4. What cute photos! I was spayed at five months because it looked like I was going into early heat, and my human wanted to nip that in the bud, so to speak.

  5. So cute! It's fun to look back at older photos. :)
