Pawsitive Outlook for 2018

2017 has been a year of challenges for Mom Paula and us. Mom Paula had to retire earlier than she planned and had three surgeries on her eyes. Both Brulee and Truffle were sick this year, but they are doing fine now. We have a lot of decisions to make this year involving our future and we're not quite sure what the result will be.

In the meantime, we want to share some of our pawsitive outlooks (no resolutions for us) for 2018.

• Partnerships with brands. We're excited to announce that we have our first sponsor for 2018 and will share more about this in the next few days. We're in talks with one or two more brands for sponsorships.
• Redesign of our blog. We will continue to try and post everyday, even if it's just a photo and a few comments. We are going to change our header and simplify things a little bit. We're working with our graphic artist for a new look now. We hope to share it in the next few weeks.
• Share some research-based articles. Our blog will always be about our daily lives with us sharing photos and stories on a daily basis. We hope to share sponsored posts on a bi-monthly basis and will work on sharing more detailed "article-type" posts about cat health, nutrition,and behavior this year. 
• Renew our engagement with our cat blogging friends. This summer Mom Paula will celebrate 10 years of blogging with Sweet Praline and us. Those first few years, we were able to visit everyone within an hour and leave detailed comments. So much has happened the last couple of years that we've gotten behind on visiting our friends. Our goal is to reach out and truly engage with our cat (and dog) blogging friends more frequently.
• Professional development. This is not a word we use too much, but since Mom Paula was part of the education environment for 40+ years, we thought we'd use it because Mom Paula want to continue learning. She has plans to take some classes (either online or face-to-face) about photography, Photo Shop, graphic design, and other items that will help us improve our blog.
• Outreach for our cat blogging friends. We plan to continue doing things for our cat blogging friends such as Secret Paws, the Blogging Cat Weekly Planner, and other activities that will encourage and promote our community.
