Bring a Little Sunshine into Your Life Each Day

One of the goals of our blog is to bring a smile to someone's face each time they visit us through our photos, videos, stories, reviews, and giveaways.

Sometimes, we must discuss some serious issues, but we try to do it in a way that will help our readers feel good after leaving our blog.

Mom Paula: Truffle and Brulee bring joy to my life each and every day. Truffle has her little diva attitude and shows it when she prances into the room and Brulee has her cute and quirky personality, especially when she wants something.

I'm not going into details on this post, but the last few months have been tough for me physically and emotionally. There are some mornings I don't want to get out of bed. I can't tell you how much it means to me to wake up and see the girls resting beside me. They give me a reason to "not give up" and they bring that needed sunshine into my life. Just touching their soft fur, rubbing behind their ears and underneath their chins, and hearing those purrs brightens my days. They are such special little fur children to me and I'm thankful each day they came into my life. I can sit for hours and watch them sleeping - it's so calming.

Those who know me, know I am an extrovert and never meet a stranger. I try to always have a smile on my face and a positive outlook when I am around people. One never knows what the other person may be going through in her life, so if I can brighten their day for just a moment, then I feel I've done my job.

I thank you for listening to me for just a little bit today. Things are going to be rough for a little while, but I'm confidents things will get better and the sunshine will warm my shoulders once again.

  1. Mom Paula, Girls, I know what that is like, as in our home, since 2012 there were serious health issues in our case, both with a son and then, after his recovery, with myself. I too loved seeing my little Tuxie with me in the bed, and throughout the day, and having her unswerving and unconditional love along with her trust. Your girls will continue to be that for you as well. You can rely on that. If I, or any one of us can be of service, you have just to reach out. I will be there. Written most sincerely.

  11. Thank you so much for your kind words about Smokey. It is very sad around Forty Paws with him gone across the Bridge.

  13. Head up! I know what you mean, as I've been going through a bit of a difficult time lately too. Pets are amazing for creating a sense of peace, calm, and love. There are days I'm not sure I'd bother getting out of bed if it wasn't for my dogs.

My husband and I also recently placed a cat with a lady who needed an Emotional Support Animals. I'm glad you have Truffle and Brulee to help you through your rough times.
