Purrs for Truffle and Brulee

We thought we were going to have a nice and relaxing Caturday, but our visit to the veterinarian yesterday didn't turn out too well for either of us.

Truffle and Brulee are both ill

Truffle went to the vet yesterday for another urinalysis and Brulee was scheduled for her 3-year FVRCP vaccination.

Safe Space at Home & On the Go

We've talked about the importance of helping cats get acclimated to carriers in order to help them feel more comfortable when you need to take them to the vet. We already have some special carriers we keep out all the time to use as our beds and it helps to let us travel to the vet with less drama.

Mom Paula was introduced to a new expandable cat carrier when she attended Global Pet Expo this year.

What would we do without trained veterinarians? We're sure people enter the veterinary field with the goal of helping as many animals as they can lead a quality life for as long as possible. Most vets put in countless hours and play a key role in helping our cats live long and healthy lives. Veterinarians deserve our thanks for this dedication, care, and love of animals.

National Attitude Day

Today is National Attitude Day. We don't know where this day originated, but we tend to think everyone should try to have a positive attitude about life. We cats tend to have "cattitude" which sometimes gives us a bad name. We're just independent little felines who like to live our lives to the fullest and don't like it when something interrupts our routine.

Brulee may look like she has a little "cattitude" but she's really a sweet girl

Brulee has that stereotypical Persian scowl, but she the sweetest little girl. She can show some "cattitude" with Truffle at times because she doesn't like to be bothered.

Hugging and Cuddling with Your Cat

Today is Hug Your Cat Day; sometimes called National Hug Your Cat Day. Mom Paula loves to hug us, even though there are times we don't really want to be hugged or cuddled.Hugging cats is a pleasant experience for humans and some believe that it’s also beneficial for human health. Who hasn’t picked up their feline and felt instant relaxation when that purring ball of fur was in your arms? We know there are some kitties who don't like to be cuddled and we're sure the humans can find those special ways to let their felines know they are loved. Truffle and Brulee will let me hug and cuddle them, but only on their terms. We hope you are able to have some cuddling time with your felines today (and every day).
